Beautiful PTS color! We've been debating python green or ultra violet with our RS. Your spec just needs our CXX tailor made racing yellow straps to match the rest of the racing yellow accents and it'll be perfect!

Not even a concern. The wheels are 6061 T6, deep spokes and have a tensile strength around 40k psi. You have to either go completely around the barrel or through one spoke to get the strap low enough to not interfere with the splitter and rear valance. It works for my hauler situation based upon the airline track position being on the outside of the car. If there was enough load to break that spoke or strap (with less tensile strength) I would have a lot bigger issues to be worried about. The hauler, with car inside would probably be sitting upside down on the roof of my dually.

Good to hear - I’m always extra cautious after a few incidents, albeit minor. Take care.

I think the Timpte is the best route, quite honestly I've had a lot of friends who have had issues with their Futura breaking down, leaving the trailer/car stranded, or showing up to the track unable to lower the trailer etc. The customer service is also bad from what they've experienced, but maybe they've improved.

I've been using this Rhino USA kit and it gets the job done, axle straps through the wheels - but it's not optimal. For my TrailEx trailer I don't have the track system to be able to wrap around the wheel and secure the car that way; I think that's the best way. I've also heard you can get hook mounts that go into where the OEM jack locations are at, that might be an option too. Based on which spokes I go through I can angle the straps so that the don't cut into the diffuser.

This is now sold but when I trailered a lot it was great. Electric of hydraulic disc brakes cruised at 100 with aero bubble on the nose.

Thanks for the info. Now I want to hear the story that goes along with that truck.

I believe the Timpte needs race ramps to get the proper angle even with a FAL. whereas the Futura has a better angle and doesn't require the race ramps. I may be wrong about this but its something to consider when purchasing especially if you don't have the FAL.

you're correct. Futura claims 3 degree approach angle while Timpte claims 4 degrees.

Big fan of Timpte..... no issues rolling the Touring on to the trailer without the need for ramps. Light weight and an easy tow back-and-forth from CO-AZ.
