DME - no values

It boils down to trust.
Assuming this is a used car, do you trust the seller to not have abused those 40-50 (after factory) miles? Abuse = getting to redline and drving like a Tesla owner between red lights just to experience the engine noise and wanting to feel thrust/whiplash all the time before the engine has properly been broken in.
If MT, do you trust the previous owner to not have had a 'money shift'?
DME will tell you overrev's and useful for a MT, but it will not tell you if the car was abused.
If the owner is trustworthy and can tell you how the car was driven, then probably no reason for any testing, but I would want a DME with a MT regardless of miles. It only costs a little and might give some piece of mind.

I should have explained better. Car is at dealer. The story from them is one of their good customers bought the GT3 and a GT4 RS. He preferred the GT4 so he sold back to the GT3 to dealer with 60 miles on it. I asked to see the DME which they showed me but mostly zero's. They claim not enough miles to log anything.

Mine came in with 30 miles on the odometer, so even though that it's possible to exit the factory with that (extended test drive/shake out, essentially), I had concerns. I asked for a DME for overspeed, and attached is what my SA sent me, showing "0" values.
Guessing, this car is at Marin? Funny story, and touching on what Deven mentioned, but my SA there (not the same as my GT3's) forgot to hang up on my VM and left me a 10 minute message where another of their SA's picked her up in a new GT4 and proceeded to take her on a joyride. Not sure if they went over 7k RPM, but just know that there are so many potential occasions for abuse, even for a new car.

Do you really think someone paid a quarter million for a car, drove around at 10k rpm and brought it back with 60 miles?
Only person I know of that would do that is Gary Dhillon, because he actually beats the snot out of every new car he picks up.
