Who is ordering one?

I think ill hold off the the non S. Waiting for it to be annouced and we can configure.
I was dead set on the Cab but Turbo S Cab is just outside my comfortable price range.
Turbo Cab is likely the ticket.

As of a month ago, I was chomping at the bit to place my order, but my allocation had not come up yet. Then I saw pics of the aero kit. OK, I'm going to hold off until the aero kit is an official option. Note - my allocation has still not been green flagged.
Pretend that the mirror upper housings are carbon fiber. The Configurator is rendering the mirrors as pink in 3D mode for some reason.
By the way, I have not seen anybody else mention that fact that Porsche updated the Configurator a couple of times in the past few weeks. If you haven't checked it out lately, they added the carbon fiber upper mirror housings (not in pink!), decals, tequipment, a pricey exclusive manufaktur leather package, and my personal favorite Sport Exhaust System incl. Exclusive Design Tailpipes in Silver. It's an extra $500 for the new tailpipe design, but I think they nailed it. Perfect balance between black and silver, and I believe they will appear cleaner: Very nice.

Deviated Stitching & Seat Centers
Deviated stitching and seat centers will render in 3D mode only. Forget 2D. BUT... Do not make changes to these colors while in 3D mode. If you do, you'll have to exit 3D mode and then get back into 3D mode.
Your base seat color will render properly in any color as long as it's black. Slate grey, graphite blue and bordeaux red will all appear as black. And forget starting with any base seat/interior combinations, sport-tex or club leather. I happen to be so in love with the bordeaux red stitching and seat centers with black seats/interior, that I don't feel the need to visualize any other combinations. I'm going with this.
Browsers:
Internet Explorer: Forget it, no 3D mode.
Microsoft Edge: This browser was the only one of 3 that originally rendered deviated stitching and seat centers.
Chrome: Be sure to update to the latest version. It seems to have started working within the last week or 2. The carbon fiber mirrors sometimes render properly but most of the time in pink For example, this Chrome screenshot was taken a few mins ago. I got booted off the Configurator, got back in, and once again I see pink.
I have seen older screen shots online of base seat colors other than black along with deviated stitching and deviated seat centers. At one time, I believe the Configurator worked better than it does now, or it could be a browser/OS issue. Who knows. I even tried other 992 models, 991s, 718s, Panamaras, etc... Same thing.
If Porsche pays obscene amounts for QA people, I may be interested.

I played around with the Configurator again. I just now noticed that in order to see the proper deviated colors rendered (3D mode only), you will also need to save your work in progress, copy the Porsche Code, exit your browser and then start a new Configurator session with your saved Porsche Code.

I’m able to get this to work on my Mac using Chrome or Edge!

Anecdotally Porsche limited the number of Turbos they are producing for the 991.2 generation because they think that they over-produced 991.1 Turbos and thus tanked the value of those cars. I suspect they want to get rid of the reputation of the Turbos as being heavy depreciators and bring them more in line %age wise with normal Carreras.

Great information, thanks!
991.1 TTS: 2827 US Coupes, 150 Canada Coupes, 1303 US Cabs, 64 Canada Cabs (excl 918 Spyder editions)
991.2 TTS: 1518 US Coupes, 201 Canada Coupes, 923 US Cabs, 123 Canada Cabs (excl Exclusive Series)
Looks like they cut coupe production numbers >40% and cab numbers by 30% in for the US. Somehow Canada got more production of both in the 991.2 generation, but still negligible compared to US production cuts.
991.1 GT3: 1962 US, 171 Canada
991.1 GT3 RS: 1240 US, 211 Canada
991.2 GT3: 2420 US, 373 Canada
991.2 GT3 RS: 1184 US, 137 Canada
It looks like the 991.2 TTS (both variants combined) is about as common as a 991.2 GT3 in the US. I wonder if we will start seeing ADMs on the Turbos now
