I'm supposedly first on the list, just waiting for an allocation. My question for those who are also waiting to order one is whether there are any discounts or incentives being had in these crazy times? Porsche sales seem to be way down, so I don't want to pay more than I have to if there is a chance to make a better deal.
I think there are unlikely to be any incentives on a brand new car even given the situation right now. If you have a long relationship with your dealer they might give a token amount off, but I won't expect more than that if you want the first allocation. Waiting a few months might be more prudent and will net you better deals.

That's kind of what I figured. The people in the market for this kind of car probably aren't as affected.. At least not yet. I wasn't expecting much, but didn't want to miss out if everyone was getting amazing deals.
Emailed my local dealer, said all his allocations were sold until next winter. Seems a bit odd to me for a non special run car, I might call around.
Anecdotally Porsche limited the number of Turbos they are producing for the 991.2 generation because they think that they over-produced 991.1 Turbos and thus tanked the value of those cars. I suspect they want to get rid of the reputation of the Turbos as being heavy depreciators and bring them more in line %age wise with normal Carreras.
My dealer says they haven't received allocations (hmmm)....supposedly I am "near the top". Mid-sized dealer. Anyone confirming in US that they have an allocation?

I called 6 dealers to try to get a 991.2 Turbo S cab, I couldn't get an allocation anywhere after months of trying. Wouldn't surprise me if they limited production for the 992 Turbo S as well. As was mentioned above, they made too many 991.1 Turbo S and they had a reputation as being easy to get discounts on. Not so on the 991.2 Turbo S, so I'm guessing it's the same story with the 992.
