Black or Red?
I've pretty-much got this thing spec'd how I want it... but I just can't decide between black or red.
I know everyone has their favorites, and to be honest; I'm not interested in any other color, other than these two...
I've ALWAYS had a black car. I love black cars. I can't imagine not owning black. And I was intent on getting a black 992. Then I saw it in Guard's Red... now I can't decide.
Black has a certain 'evil' to it, that I really like. But red just looks so damn sexy, and highlights the vehicle's curves better...
So, I ask you; if you had to choose between black or red, which one (and why)?

I think Black hides the curves and the contrasting black details. There is no bad color for a tts but I'd prefer red. Take a look at Carmine. I've not had a TT in Guards but owned several Carrera's in GR (and one in black). Its a great color but I personally would take a look at Carmine..

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ The trouble for me is it doesn't look as good in real life.
I know its all about personal preference etc, but when I saw a 992 Carrera in the metal in Carmine red I was somewhat underwhelmed.....sorry. I really wanted to like it as the configurator made it look great and I was about to order one, so I was glad to have seen it first.
I would now NEVER order any colour without actually seeing it in real life first.

Guards or Carmine. I own a 2018 Guards and it is awesome. I've had black cars and they look so good when they are clean, for those 5 minutes. But I always dreamed of a red 911 Turbo. I get so many people complimenting the car. Nearly every time I take it out I have people staring at my car, pulling up to give me a thumbs up, etc. Last time I took the car out for a long drive in the country, a man that I would estimate in his early 70's driving a 1980's Ford pickup truck that had much better days, tracked me down when I was pushing low 80's just to stick his head out the window and show me how much he loved my car. The man clearly has the car bug like most of us.
Like all colors, seeing them on a screen doesn't represent the color well. If you haven't seen a Red 911, go see one in person. If your dealer doesn't have a red 911 in inventory, ask the forum, as I'm sure someone around you will be happy to show you their car. I think if you see a clean Guards Red 911, you will want it.
The 911 shows well in so many colors, it a testiment to the design.

Back in the day, one of the most awesome Turbos I ever saw was a Guards red 997 turbo. It had like 30,000 miles on it, but even then, I wanted it. No more black for me, although they do look good in jet black metallic too. Red is loud, so you have to be okay with that.
