market is def changing quick. These TTS on used market were bringing way over list now list.
it’s going to keep adjusting as people’s portfolios get hit, goods and services get more expensive and ppl save more for the coming recession.
used prices are way down off their highs.

If you think about a year ago we were talking about buying and selling Turbos net-net with no loss or make even money, and now we are most likely at the 10% loss levels (still not 20% where it was precovid) at first year of ownership. Added with the cost of the loan, most now realize the cost of owning a turbo has gone from low double digits to over 6 figures in 3-4 years. Thats a lot, hence you see lots of used cars.
Lastly, Turbo isnt GT3 in terms of collectibility. It never was (except air cooled ones) and never will be. The market for Turbos are people who rack miles and move on to the next fast comfortable thing. In a year, there will be a sub 2 second (first sub 2 second Production porsche, sounds amazing, can you think about the hype?) turbo and the market will be flooded with turbos which will be on top of the current unsold Turbos.
If you can get one for MSRP now, I’d say “maybe” do it but dont go crazy loading it up. For a 992.2 TTS, you will take a $60-75k hit in less than 2 years if you put miles on it. But for over msrp? You have to be really irrational to do it given the current climate.
Remember the last 2 sports car market downturns we always either had low rates or low inflation or stock market that was printing us free money with overvalued stocks. This time, none of those are true. There is nothing to keep the music going. Its like that scene in the movie margin call - “the music is slowing”.

This is coming from a 992 TTS owner, and when the 992 came out I felt that the GTS body width was a little more 'digestible'...the TTS is fantastic to me but occasionally feels a bit wide. GTS also doesn't suck gas like the TTS does. I still think the Python Green 992 GTS coupe is one of the best looking, IMO.

In 7,000 miles my average MPG is 16.4. Thats horrible! I get 27 mpg in a 800 hp ZR1 and I have averaged 14.9 mpg in my GT3RS in 11,000 miles.
I hate SUVs. Marriage makes me own it. I resisted to owning one for as long as I could. Big fat ugly.

what is keeping floor on TTS and other Porsche models is limited production
but another factor that people forget is as new car prices get softer , used car prices are getting softer so you will be getting less money on trade in
I think the play at this time is
get a good number on trade if you have it , and try to negotiate a lower ADM. The ADM will be the difference that your trade will fetch in few months

I also see msrp continuing to rise every year. I’m not sure it’ll be as drastic as 10k per year.. but I’d say the 992.2 turbo s is going to start above 225 for sure

if there's any car that needs the extended range fuel tank, it's the 992 TTS.

When I picked up my TTS I had to fly to the city and get it and then drive 1200 miles home. It worked out perfect because I used that drive as the break in. So by the time I got home I was ready to rock ‘n’ roll with it. I don’t think I brought the car over 3500 RPM that first 1200 miles. Anyway since I was babying it it got between 28 and 30 miles per gallon. That car is very efficient if you drive it like an old man.
