Default Passenger mirror pointing up when in reverse?

I finally managed to upgrade from my 991.2 TTS to a 992 TTS last week and noticed my passenger mirror moves up while in reverse (instead of pointing down). Has anyone else had this happen?

I haven't had much time to test it. Is the mirror smart enough to realize I'm backing into an incline (my driveway slopes up out of my garage) and angles the mirror that way? Or was the motor installed backwards?

Same with mine. Took it to dealer, they said it was a programming issue, fixed and returned in an hour or so.

I think you have to set the mirror when in reverse and the car remembers that setting. Something like that. If you accidentally point it up while it's in reverse, it will remember that position next time. It's in the manual.

FIX:
Put vehicle in Reverse while holding the brake. Go to the right mirror adjustment (while still in Reverse), adjust mirror to where you want it to be oriented when in Reverse. Take it out of Reverse, it should go back to normal orientation. Once placed back in Reverse, your pre-saved orientation will be displayed.

This is why I like this forum. Guys like you that come on and are helpful instead of posting something stupid like “read the manual”. Thanks brother. Great tip.

After reading this I've realized I have never set my mirrors. I will be doing this tomorrow. Thanks!

The trolls are here. You just happened to miss them. I’ve seen plenty of snarky answers on multiple posts.
