Well this was really nice, at the time I said the best car I have ever owned was my 2017 tts, it still maybe the best, but then the first blue car came (992 tts) easier to add big power, better ride, much nicer interior, although the center console section is more user friendly on the 991.2, where everything was at your finger tip

Race Car
I can tell you a couple things that aren’t better.
gas mileage sucks
drag coefficient is worse.
bigger frontal area. Car is a beast.
Other than that everything is better IMO. Especially the brakes and suspension.

lol, gas mileage of the 991.2 TTS is pretty bad too, and with the small tank, trips to the gas station are frequent.

My first Porsche was a 991.2 TT and I just took delivery of my 992 TTS in December. I loved my 991.2 and at the time it was the best car I had ever owned. However overtime it just kind of felt boring. It was fast but had a fair amount of turbo lag. It just wasn’t exciting. I know thats kind of vague, but after a while I got bored with it. The new TTS feels just like a different car to me. In sport and sport plus I really do not notice the lag. There is substantially more power. The handling is significantly better. It’s not gt3 level handling, but it feels far closer to it than my 991.2. The car sounds a lot better than the 991.2. However arguably that’s not saying too much compared to a gt3.

992 - obviously more power but i noticed other things.
PCM has way too many sub menus, start stop nonsense, etc and i have to bloody remember for example the minimized screen and other things i use regularly. You can program shortcut buttons. 991 you just got in and you remembered everything and was ready to go. Easy life.

I think the 992 was a better car for me (after having a 991.1 and 991.2) it’s faster, sounds marginally better(agree with above that it’s still crap) but the handling was much improved and interior fit, finish and tech are way improved on the 992

To finish the story in this thread, I did wind up getting a 992 TTS, but I also kept my 991.2 TTS, so now I can take my time comparing these two cars. Maybe they’re different enough that I can justify keeping both. In that scenario, I envision the 992 being my main track car and the 991.2 being mainly or entirely a road car.
