Default How long do you hold on to your TTS?

I'm curious what the average length of time the TTS owner holds on to his vehicle before selling it.

Me, personally, I hold on to cars I buy for 10+ years. I rarely "flip" cars. I suspect I'm in the minority compared to most people in the Porsche community.

As a buyer of a TT/TTS, how long did you hold on to the car before selling it, if you've already sold it, or how long do you plan to hold on to it before selling if you haven't sold it yet? And what is your motivation or explanation for that particular length of time? Do you simply like to have the "latest" model at all times, or do you just want to avoid financial depreciation, or what?

2 years for 991.1, 2 years for 1.2, 1.5 years for current car...not interested in a hybrid, so this one might be around for awhile....however, I may have to spring for a 2.2 in order to get the new crest....

I'll never sell mine,(as of today). I want two Porsche 911 Turbo gas cars.

2023 Agate Grey with Bordeaux Red

I have an allocation for 992.2 in a 2025-2026 Porsche 911 Turbo. It will be in the same color code range but not pinkish.

I need no sunroof (too hot here) and no light-weight stuff (no real weight savings).

I want another Porsche 911 Turbo that uses 93 octane. I am not buying an electric car.

I kept my 991.1 TTS for 5½ years. I would expect something similar for the 992.1 TTS Cab that's waiting for a boat.

I've always been one of the first on the list at my dealer for the new series since my first Turbo (S). A 993. That said our 991 is a 2015 with less than 10,000 miles. https://rennlist.com/forums/991-turb...b-arrived.html. The order is in for a 2024 Turbo S. I got into Ferraris so 95% of Turbo S miles are my wife's. She wouldn't let me get a 992.1 when they first came out. She wouldn't part with the 2015.

I keep my cars 3-5 yrs. No concern for depreciation. At my age life is short and have zero interest in flipping cars.

During the 991's I would get one a year, and then sell it once I got the new one, since the 992's came out still one a year, but with engine modding or replacing, lowing, wheels and tires, clear wrapping, radar and sound system, it takes me about a year to work out al the issues to get the car how I want it, so now I just been keeping them all, I plan to sell one or two after the 23' and 24' arrive, but that's just me

Recent history has me changing every 3 years for a car I wanted more than the one I had. At this point there isn’t a car I want more than the Turbo S so I have no plans to trade it. With hybrids and full electric on the horizon, I don’t expect that to change.

^ Interesting that you say that. This is such a true statement. I wonder if more people are going to hang onto their "last generation ICE sports cars" for this very reason.

I'll sell it whenever I get bored of it... not bored of it yet, haha.
