One wheel was sanded down and repainted perfect again, the other was so bad we just repainted it black. From the naked eye you can’t tell and it’s just cosmetic as I had the car towed to Porsche after it happened to double check.

Major design flaw, I’m disappointed I had the car less than 300 miles when it happened to me.

Thanks brutal man, 300 miles and wheels ruined, unreal.

Class action time.

What did the dealer say?

This is super annoying.

German roads are flawless, likely why they didn't find this during testing perhaps. NA roads are crap. Cdn roads are even worse. Rocks everywhere.

you are quite litigious - surely they can’t account for every road hazard imaginable, nor should they be liable for it.

things happen

you own it

Easiest fix is to not drive the car.

Garbage, this is a design issue and should be accounted for.

We all shouldn't be repairing our damaged rims with 300-2000 miles on the clock. Go shake your head. If this happened on every new car, people would be losing their minds, rightfully so. I didn't pay 300k+ for a car to have to fix the wheels already. There is a difference between a crap design and wear/tear.

Do you even own a Turbo?

It is not a design issue - brakes are designed to stop

not sure why the mileage on your car is relevant

porsche should map rock sizes in your neighborhood?

world does not revolve around you bud

as I said above this has happened to me

luckily the rock ejected itself with no damage

i had 300 miles on the car at that point

i would never scream and whine that Porsche should save me

It happened to you, but no damage, so in reality where the rest of us live, it really DIDNT happen to you, because your wheels are still in great condition with no damage.

Ok, good talk, go annoy someone else. We are trying to solve a problem here, if you’re too stupid to see this is an issue, good luck to you.

I understand your anger as I would be POed as weel. While this really sucks, I would do my best to be nice with your dealer and see if they can easy your pain by charging you less on the repair bill. Good luck with taking on Porsche USA regarding a design flaw. Life is too short, spend your money and efforts elsewhere (looks like you are with the tune and mods). Enjoy the car once it's fixed.
As a humorous note, I would bet it will not happen again as long as you stay on paved roads but I would not bet a dime on you winning a design flaw suit .

Do you think your drag racing has anything to do with your wheel damage?

This happened on paved roads, parking lots etc.

What does this have to do with drag racing?? Is everyone with the same issue drag racing?? So accelerating from a stand still in a straight line made this happen? I don’t get your point. Are we not supposed to use LC and accelerate fast?? Shake head.

FYI class action was joke.

But this is a issue in my mind.

L2, you’re a clueless idiot.

Wheel repaired to perfection...my guess w/o insurance probably $3-$500 job? As noted elsewhere it pays to cultivate relationships with your dealer...I've found most techs and service managers to be very interested in good customer support and relations...

For example. I Had a 1 ton diesel Denali, GM product. They used chrome side steps on it stock. After one winter the steps were all pitted and rusting all over the pits. GM took the steps off, said they will replace them one time only with chrome again or black. I went black and the problem was gone.

That is good customer service.

I think I might try cut a piece of foam or some type of material and adhere it to the caliper to keep rocks from entering this area.

His has happened to 2 of 4 cars with pccb. In the fullness of time, I think it will happen to all of them. Just try to ignore it
