The overall sound of my Burmester was improved by adding SoundShield to the doors. Leave it on Pure and it’s more accurate than the Bose.

Btw, are the persistent misspellings of Burmester by folks intentional or are there people spending $5k for an option they cannot spell and likely pronounce correctly? 😂

Bassmaster was a noticeable improvement over the Bose on the 991 - presumably it’s the same on the 992.

I have Bose, sounds great and works well, but I am not an audiophile.

I have Burmester (correct spelling) in mine and love it! Yes, if you have bass turned up too much it will rock the door panels, but Burmester is on a whole new level as compared to Bose.

The 911's are an acoustical nightmare. It is amazing that they can develop anything decent in the car to begin with. I like the Burmester but with my cat bypasses its kind of a joke to expect hi fidelity

Seems clear from the responses in this thread that most would agree on Bumkeister superiority - I’m glad I have that setup in my 991.

true that....im tumblin down the audiohole and having a Musicar system installed early 2024.

Certainly not dissatisfied with Bose after door treatment and speaker swaps...just curious how good it can get.

That musicar system looks really good, and they know their stuff. I had an issue, years ago, with my 991 Burmester system. I called them and the owner answered. I described the issue and before I could finish, he knew what it was, and told me how to correct it.

i agree with Nick. Waste of money on Burmester. I cannot discern the difference between it and Bose.

I’ve had both in the 992 coupe platform. Bose has a touch more bass but is a lot more distorted at higher volumes. The burmester sounds great when cranked. But it sounds like poop compared to my wife’s cayenne burmester. That thing sounds like a concert.
