not answering for them but im in the market for a mid to compact suv and am reading reliability issues on the cayenne but haven't digged into which gen's/yrs and the exact issues. was also considering one or macan or the lexus line lx or rx.
one of the things that plagues the Audi versions is the Battery Starter Generator for the 48 volt system. It tends to fail and renders the vehicle useless with no ability to even limp around. The BSG's were in poor supply and lots of the Q7/Q8 audis were bricks until they shipped. The lone variant of the Q8 line that uses a conventional starter is the SQ8. The RSQ8 which has the PDCC equivalent electronic swaybars relies on the BSG 48 volt system to power the sways. Its possible since the Cayenne and the Q8 are on the same platform that they may share the same failure mode
Just collected my Turbo S, which I will be using daily, like I used my 991 GT3 Daily.
Before the Turbo S I had an F8, which was a weekend car and used to daily an Audi Q8 with some mods daily, I think I might sell it now as am not using it much
