Are dealers allowed to sell to customers outside their "region"?

Yes. The “out of state” excuse is usually used to justify ADMs.

100%. Most of the in demand variants leave Ohio. Porsche North Olmstead sells a lot out of state.

Had a straight forward convo with the rep and was told a 70k markup for any specced turbo s. The cab they had in the showroom appeared to be marked up 80k. I understand having a previous relationship with a dealer, or having other 911s make a difference, but not sure how to proceed with finding a dealer to work with on a new 911 turbo s. I’m located in the mid Atlantic. Any tips or recommendations for east coast dealers would be appreciated (via this thread or pm). Can appreciate a slight ADM, but 80k in today’s economy, cmon! Thanks for the help, cheers!
Those ADMs are nuts and higher GT3 ADMs, that dealer is nuts.

Here in Atlanta the lists are insane, 30 deep for Turbo or S, if not close to 40. Years of waiting - I wanted a Cayman GTS and wanted to skip the line/Delivery in 90 days, so I called a TON of dealerships until one let me spec a 718 GTS, delivery in 90 days and ADM right around (just under) 7K (never be afraid to ask for something, I did so he tossed in 4 yrs dent protection + 1 extra yr prepaid maintenance) - now that we have a relationship via that purchase, he bumped me to the number 1 slot for a TTS, zero ADM, slot should come within the next 2 months or so. DM if you wanna chat further.

A quick update to the thread. Have reached out to Porsche Cville, unfortunately won't allow allocations outside a 50 mile radius. Silver spring has been fantastic, and hoping to move forward with next steps. Thanks everyone for the great input and help!

I purchased mine at MSRP in March 2023. Took delivery about 5 months later. 2024 TTS built to my specs.
PM me and I'll give you the dealer and the salesperson.

This AM is nonsense. Even our local dealer here in Vegas is still charging 30K over MSRP (WAS 50K). Ridiculous.
