The dealer did a PCM update on my '22 Turbo S while doing an oil change. It now looks identical to my '24 one - colour icons, etc. I had to re-pair wireless carplay and get out of private mode, but otherwise, it was uneventful. I saw some here were waiting for the update to be available, so now it is.

Just had an update on my ‘22 - (WNT1 Re-programming central computer [PCM] and connect control unit) but no change to the icons, not really an upgrade. Was told it was just a security update.

Nope. Completely different module from another company vs MY22 +.

No issues with the stock 2021 PCM except for the truncated CarPlay screen.
Remedied with an remote update via Innovative Soft. https://www.innovativesoftnz.com/

Got the PCM update on my 22 TTS, and now have the color icons. But the contract of the roads in the Porsche map is unchanged - so its still very hard to see smaller streets in white on the light gray background. They really need to fix it.

Thank you for the response. I am familiar with that ability to change and basically stretch Apple Carplay over the entire screen.

With no input from me, my ‘22 now has the upgraded carplay. Complete mystery, perhaps some voodoo OTA update?

22 and newer can get the upgraded PCM, 21 and older cannot. its a hardware issue, different modules.
