You are close my friend…I would be answering all the spam calls in hopes of it being someone from the dealership. Any day now you will get the call… Good luck and Godspeed.

Looks like the Siem Cicero is scheduled to stop in Halifax Canada tonight and then head down to Davisville RI.

Birthing schedule shows the ship arriving early in Davisville on 3/28/2024.

It’s getting real now!

it should be fast other wise, After 2 days you start paying storage fee's, Unless there is a customs hold, 99% of the time they clear customs days before they even dock.

That's good to know! The Composer arrived on 16th and TYD hasn't updated past arrived at entry port yet so was getting a bit anxious

Could this explain why older cars with the banned chip continue to sit at the port, while the newer cars are being shipped out sooner?

The older cars would not be subject to storage fees, due to the customs hold, while the newer cars would incur storage fees, if they were held back to make room for the older cars.

Yeah... absolutely terrible and I would guess they'll be performing cleanup/investigation for weeks/months. I'm not sure if our car carriers route takes them through that area?

Not sure exactly what the impact will be, but if there is a silver lining for VW/Porsche, it has to be that Sparrows Point where their ships dock, is south of or before the Francis key bridge.

Looks like the VAG port quays are south of the unfortunate bridge collapse...

My car arrives in Baltimore on Thursday….I am hoping to have the car by the end of April. It’s going to a dealership in WI…Is end of April a realistic expectation?
Best of luck, dude.

Thoughts with those on the bridge and directly impacted in Baltimore.

Thursday will be interesting on whether Amethyst Ace can dock at Sparrows Point. Although short of the bridge, I would speculate the harbor could be closed short of that to non-essential vessels, although hopeful they can get in. The schedule expects Amethyst Ace (3/28), SFL Conductor (4/3) and Violet Ace (4/16) to Baltimore, so will see very soon.

Beyond the bridge in the Fairfield Area appears a larger car area including Mercedes, Fiat and what looks like quite a few other manufacturers.

NJ has berths (BMW is there), but the real problem is that the vehicle prep and distribution centers can't be relocated easily, they are right there at the port.

I would be shocked if Amethyst Ace will be allowed to dock. Like you said, Sparrows Point is south of the bridge but I’d expect there to be a large perimeter closed off for rescues and repairs. My car is on Amethyst Ace but I doubt my car will be delivered as expected in Colorado.

I hope everyone impacted by the crash will be safely rescued
