Just finished this install on my 2024 Targa 4S! Thanks to all that contributed information. Was very easy to do with the help of this thread. Only thing I didn’t do was run wire under #2 housing. Just exited wire between #1and #2 at the seam, and then used zip tie to keep concealed and out of the way! Overall a really clean and easy job!

What did you install? Any pictures?

You don't need to remove that piece. Get a trim removal tool or something that won't scratch things and pry the piece downward just enough to feed the wire through.

Does adding "Preparation for Porsche Dashcam" change anything or make things easier for installing a radar detector with Blendmount?

I admit I originally just did a search for “preparation” and came up with nothing. Now that I went back, I only found a couple posts from a couple years ago, merely speculating about the new option.

I’m wondering if anyone with the option has seen or noticed any change in the process outlined here.

I have a complete write up of how to use the OEM connector that comes with the factory installed prewiring and the connector u need to purchase to make the connection.

Just a suggestion be a little less specific when running your search terms to get more results

Did the install for the prewire. Mostly easy but not much room to stuff the wires. Me being ****, I bent the metal clip on the dome, the one you slide the credit card to unhook. Is that an orderable part? I bent it back and it works fine but it annoys me that it's a little crooked.

Stupid question - but on the right sided blue plug.... does it matter which side of the plug you tap into??

I used the right side (of the right blue plug). Worked great. Thanks to everyone for their posts.
