Hi, just picked up my 992 from my detailer, note satin black front lip and side skirts, also cloth seats so all very 1980's (and it's a manual), amazing how different it is compared to the PDK, over 12 years of PDK ownership so I need to learn how to drive again......

Great choice 😀 I ordered the same color. Haven’t seen it in person beyond the sample the dealer had. Here’s a pic I took last week.

Not really. Some people have had them and had no issue and some have, so it seems it’s not bad all the time normally. I had a 991 GT3 that I daily drove and it was hit or miss with the noise.

I had different cars with ceramic: 997 Turbo S, 991 Turbo S, Huracan, and Huracan Performante: no problems with squeeks. Had 2 Ferrari and it was a nightmare!!!!! Strangely supplier is the same!

porsche526, I don't know if this is your first time ordering a 911, but the "wtf did I do?" panic stage is a normal part of the process. That's especially true when it comes to exterior color and even more so when it comes to one of the bolder exterior colors. So if this is your first time, welcome to the manic world of ordering a 911. Use us as your support group.

Color choice is an incredibly difficult thing. The vast majority of people, including members on this site, go for a shade of white or something along the silver-grey-black continuum. Most owners see those colors as "classic" or "safe for resale" or both. You can't argue with that (or anyone's personal color choice for that matter). I believe in a "personalized" color combination. I simply do not want to drive a car that everyone else drives. That doesn't mean that you have to go bold. I personally love combos like GT Silver over Truffle Brown. It's a really classy combo to my eye, and few would chose it. But I've also owned two Sakhir Orange M-cars.

I happen to like Python Green and I'm considering it as well. It's a bit of a homage to some of Porsche's great 70s and 80s colors. I'm positive you'll like it when you get the car. The question is, will it survive the test of time for you? Unfortunately, no one can answer that question but you.

gt silver is no "individual" choice....no one would describe that as bold!
your argument is not very convincing to the poor guy who selected Python Green

I figure, if I am going to be exceeding the speed limit, I would be best advised not to advertise it!

Why are you having doubts - do you think you’re going to get tired of it too quickly, do you think it’s not going to look like you hoped it would in your mind? Just curious why you’re second guessing your color choice. I know it’s hard to pick a color when you can see it on a car in person beforehand, especially something more bold like Python.

Here’s a pic of a 992 in Python (it’s a GTS test car).
