Daily Driver vs Weekend Warrior?

DD for now, normally drive 6-7k miles per year. I’ve had my C2 since Feb and have ~1200 miles. Mileage is a huge factor on resale or trade, but I’m not overly concerned. I was planning for the 992 to be the 3rd car for my wife and I, but Covid hit so I postponed delivery and eventually cancelled my order for the Model Y since neither for us are driving much these days.

Yep, I right there with you. I go on LESS drives now than when I lived in Ohio but the ones I go on now are MUCH longer as there are so many fun places to explore. Hopefully we can organize a drive (or two, more?) as a group. We had a group of about 13 Porsche's do that back in 2004 and my wife and I still have a lot of fun memories from it.

My carrier, Traverlers, is giving a 15% credit each month--started in June. Since I paid in full at the beginning of the policy year, I'm getting a $40 direct deposit refund for 2 cars.

1. WW (I recently got a used Tesla Model 3 to replace my Mini as my DD.)
2. I had a friend who always said Porsches should be <6k miles/years, and <3k is best. He was always concerned about resale, however, and he also always had 4 Porsches in his garage. It sticks with me to keep the mileage down, but I also want to drive it when I want to drive it. I’m guessing my annual mileage Will be in the 3-5k range, but I’ve never had a car solely as a fun car before (only bikes).
3. Not really.

I've daily'd every single Porsche I've owned (from a 997 C2S to a 991 C4S to a 991.1 GT3 to a 991.2 GT3, and a few in between), and average around 8-10k miles annually.
Do I care about resale? Of course, I do. It would be stupid not too. But does it control my decision on how and when I use my car? Never.

Next summer?
...... My annual summer drive down Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway to go scalloping in Florida isn’t happening this year due to COVID. ....QUOTE]
After the 992 gets broken in, you can be sure I will be taking it to the Tail of the Dragon (ToD), the Cherohala Skyway plus parts of the Blue Ridge Highway. That's one of the best parts of living here in Tennessee. Perhaps we can get together once all of this nonsense settles down. I love taking 1-2+ drives as there are a lot of fun roads without too much traffic IF you go at the right time AND have a bit of luck.

[QUOTE=Todd C;16768382]Since I'm retired, I'm flexible as to timing although going on a Monday - Wednesday is usually the best IMO. I will definitely put a reminder on my calendar to ask the forum who might be up for this next Spring - Summer next year.
