Well if the car is only a few months old and only has 300 miles. How much additional warranty does cpo warranty offer?

To me the car is still brand new with 99.9% of it factory warranty still there.

Does CPO warranty give him 100k bumper to bumper coverage or something?

Am I missing something?

Ah, I did not know that. I assumed it added the amount of time used up since it was manufactured and resold. Or it added some additional warranty time. But I didn't realize it was 2yrs! Thats not bad. But Id still take a 300 mile used car with base warranty and 7.5% off. But I hear what people are saying about getting it CPO'd now.

Most people own this type of car about 3-4 years and many do not run up a lot of miles - i.e. it will likely always be under the original warranty for the first owner. I would encourage the purchase with a slightly better discount or the CPO, or even neither. Owning and driving the car will reward you and make anyone forget about the tedium of the final deal as 7.5%+ off of this car ain't bad at all. In fact, I wish the sales manager would drive mine for 300 miles and then give me 7.5% to 10% off.

Even if the car is sold after 4 years don't you think having an additional 2 years of warranty is a pretty big selling point?

Yes, you are right in my opinion, it is a plus in the selling column but I am not sure you are reading what I wrote. So, in summary, I would not lose the deal over it if it was the car I wanted.

Not sure they would even consider CPOing a car with those low miles. Actually, not sure if a non titled car can be CPO?? If they won't CPO the car, ask for another year of scheduled maintenance or other things you want! GL

Yeah, that car is not getting CPO'ed. It's still a new car with an unpunched warranty.

A demo car is, by definition, a new car -- thus an unpunched warranty. Cannot be CPO'ed

Yep, that's what I thought. I was in a similar situation when I bought my car and they would not CPO, but did get some additional consideration including additional years of maintenance which helped!!

I bought a 911 (991) with an unpunched warranty. They CPO’d it for me as part of the deal. In my mind, I was going to own the car for many, many years. In reality it lasted two years, and then I bought another one. It’s a sickness

The CPO’d car was a PCNA Exec car. The car the OPs looking at probably falls into the same category, with an unpunched warranty (as you said). Although, If I were the OP I’d certainly confirm that the warranty clock hasn’t started.

Either owners all drive random cars constantly or that’s a great way to make 330 hard demo miles sound light.

I would want closer to 10% but maybe it’s not doable right now. I received 6% around June
