Agree sounds great higher up in the revs but still running in….so have to wait before I get that again. Agree around 7k it sounds mega. Just hoping the “individual mode” might work as prefer to heel and toe myself….

Yay, finally got my Carmine red T!

Extremely happy with this color choice, my spec, and of course how much fun it is to drive.

Bummer though that I had to immediately part ways with it after dropping it off at a shop for a few more days for full PPF install and other stuff.

And just as I suspected, even with FAL engaged, I'm still scraping my building's garage ramp pretty badly, though I eventually make it through in one piece. Not too concerned, it'll get filed down eventually after several more passes... or it'll get ripped out completely and I have to buy a new one haha. So don't let anybody on these forums try to talk you out of FAL if you think you might need it. I'm glad I trusted my instincts on this.

I was at the dealer's today getting my glass checked-all's well thankfully. I thought while there I'd try and get tech inspected so I could run at the Glen with the Audi club next week. Back tires inside shoulder a little too worn so we talked about replacements just to see. TireRack is $400 more expensive for 4 Michelins than the dealer is including mounting/balancing. I couldn't believe it, service manager said they only make $7/tire. I'll have new shoes next Wednesday with an alignment and brake flush as well. Turned 13,000 on the way to the dealers today!

Picked up my Carrera T yesterday. After about half a mile I started smelling natural gas. Not a typo, and I know our cars do not have any natural gas, but that is exactly what it smelled like. I assumed it was from the surrounding environment and started heading home. The smell came and went. I took my wife for a ride and she smelled it off and on as well.

It is certainly not offgassing of the interior as the smell came and went only when the car was running (mainly after downshifts but not always). When it smelled, it really smelled, not just a little. This morning I took it to the dealership, on the way I smelled it again. Once at the dealership the technician came with me for a ride and smelled it very quickly. They now have the car and are trying to figure it out.

Question for the group, has anybody else had this experience? Appreciate any thoughts. KWPA

@KWPA that is strange. Most I've smelled is stuff burning off the exhaust from a new Mazda I purchased years ago. It went away after a little bit.

Thanks Biohazard.

I have had a number of 911s, including a new 992. This is not the normal new car oddball burning smells, I'm very familiar with those. This is definitely something else.

I would run on old tyres at the Glen, have them shredded properly and then replaced with fresh Michelins, unless you want to compete with the Audis

I would except the Tech said he would not sign off on the Tech Inspection which is a basic requirement before running.

I would say Taco Bell, KFC or Popeye's can cause that on and off smell, but it doesn't sounds like you indulged in any "Good Food Made Quickly" before picking up your Carrera T

I,ve owned my Carerra T for approximately a year now and it's been so fun to follow everyone's journey of taking possession and enjoying these wonderful cars.

No regrets on selecting shark blue for the color, but I always thought it kind of dominated the agate grey in the Carerra wheels. I was super impressed with @wilder on his custom wheel design and wanted to do something very similar. I reached out to Jake at Meisterwerk Racing after seeing his IG advertisement and told him I wanted a OEM looking GT3 type wheel in OEM Poesche silver. Converting a CL wheel into a 5 lug is tricky, but I think Jake nailed it. @Wilder perfectly selected the offsets of 38 and 57 for his gorgeous wheels and I copied those for a stock tire size fitment.

The design process was enjoyable, Jake is a very nice guy and communicates well. His prices for a fully forged cutom wheel are super competitive. Fit and finish and over all quality are excellent, I'm super impressed. I weighed the wheels and they are indeed light. The front 20" wheels weigh 23lbs and the rear 21" wheels are 28lbs.

Here are a few pics of the wheels on the car. If I can answer anymore questions, please let me know. And if you're thinking about a quality forged custom made wheel.....contact Jake ASAP!

Looks sharp. Are the rear 12" wide ? or 11.5" wide (same as stock) ?

It’s not a fair comparison. Correct me if I’m wrong, but those Apex wheels only come in 20/19 vs your OEM size 21/20. Smaller wheels weigh less. If you spec your wheels in 20/19 size it would weight less. Having said that, a few lbs penalty to keep the stock size is totally worth it.

So I celebrated my crossing over the 1,000 miles mark today by pushing the boost button while in Sport. The poor innocent, wrong place at the wrong time, guy next to me in the 5.0 tried to keep up but quickly gave up. PDK rips to redline in the blink of an eye. It’s got to be faster than Porsche spec”s say so? It’s so much fun and planted in the corners that it had me grinning ear to ear! 😎
