Haven't watched Doug for a while, but his gesticulating seems to have achieved terminal velocity.
Thanks for the link.

The quirks and "features" that Doug points out in his reviews of any cars are only quirks and features for non-owners.
Any Porsche owner will not find anything that Doug pointed out to be a "quirk" and depending on how you define "feature" ... a feature of the car.

Its funny how all the reviewers use essentially the same phrases when reviewing this GTS...Porsche PR teams must have laid the kool aid on real heavy before giving out the keys.

He overdoes it a bit with trying to separate it from the base/s, because the fact is, it's not that different. It has all the luxury features for "old guys" as the others, with less sound deadening, and presumably slightly different, sportier road feel, because of the helper spring and different suspension tuning.
His gesticulating at terminal velocity made me laugh out loud - esp at 1.25x - good one.
Finally, that car looks *amazing* in chalk with those GTS centre locks. Le magnifique.

Love seeing a different colour GTS getting reviewed, and why does Doug remind me of Tribore Menendez?

Weird. I’ve always liked Demuro but the affect and body movement have gotten weird, almost manic.
Nice looking GTS tho!

This was one of his weaker reviews. Many of the “features” of the GTS he lauds are just options. And the difference between an S and a GTS just isn’t dramatic enough for him to call the S an “old man’s car” while the GTS is the “enthusiast’s car”

Of course the irony is if he’s right about the Carrera and Carrera S becoming ‘old mens cars’ then the buyer profile of a GTS makes it more so. Load ‘em up with cow hide, fancy wheels, expensive paint jobs, ‘must have’ options, and ship ‘em out the door. Nice profits there, not so much on bog standard Carrera’s on 19/20” wheels in white or red.

There should be a law that required GTS reviews to be made without the term "sweet spot".
So overused....

Seems like that is coming from Porsche PR. I have heard from a couple dealers that they are getting more GTS vs S cars than they expected...makes sense because the car is about 15K more and the additional costs to build it are minimal.

So I’m a 992 C2s 7MT owner, and I’ll just say right off the GTS looks really nice and I dig several of its features and think the pricing is fair/attractive.
But the idea that the 992 c2/c2s is some sort of GT/cruiser, I just have always found that absurd. I wish I could take anyone that says that and make them back to back this these against a BMW M8 or a Mercedes SL or a Jaguar coupe or even an Aston Martin vantage… did he just hop out of a gt3 or something?
I’m not sure which annoys me more, people that call the 992 (or the 991.2 before it) “more of a GT”, or the ones that insist the 992 is much bigger than the 991 (when it’s basically the exact same size when comparing it to the 991 widebody).
