Thoughts on Ice Grey Metallic

Currently driving Chalk 911. Very nice, and so far haven't seen many other Chalk Porsche other than a few Cayenne. Preferred color would have been PTS Grigio Campovolo, but alas no PTS for my GTS build. Have seen one IGM 911 and an IGM Taycan and that pretty much sold me on IGM for the GTS. IGM C4GTS w/ blk/chalk leather due in June.

As noted above, PTS Grigiocampovolo is a close match (on screen) to Ice Grey Metallic. It may be a bit warmer than IGM. IGM is clearly a cool shade of grey, having a blue tint rather than brown (red/yellow). Chalk, which is quite popular, is in the warm grey range. Taking delivery of my IGM 992 T in June, absolutely stoked about this color.
PTS - Grigiocampovolo
Special Color - Ice Grey Metallic

I took delivery of my first Targa about 10 days ago in IGM. I've previously owned a 991.2 in Graphite Blue Metallic and 992 in Lava Orange. This is my favorite so far - and I LOVED my last 2.

I have a chalk turbo (991.2) and IGM C2S (992). I got the chalk first because I've always been a fan. The IGM is really nice, though...very subtle, though; almost looks white. Up close it looks really nice.
Interesting note: Next to the chalk it brings out a lot of, what looks like almost, tan in the chalk, which surprised me, as the chalk has never looked tan before.

Absolutely love my IGM even when it's not clean. So nearly chose chalk but glad I didn't in the end. The similar PTS colour is so close, but perhaps not quite as bright, and lacks a little of the blueish hue of IGM. General advice is if you are on the fence about OGM most definitely go for it you will not be
disappointed I assure.
Best, Devon Racer.

I was ready to order a IGM 992 until I saw it in person (indoors and outdoors) and was surprisingly really underwhelmed. It seemed too glossy (almost like the over the top gloss you get from some PPF) and indistinctive for me (not really grey, not white, not blue) - but that's just my taste which has been turning away from metallics for awhile. It's a very "modern" color, if that makes sense. Again, not my taste but to each their own.

I own a Cayman GTS in IGM, and I just took delivery in November. Living in Chicagoland, I am ready for a fresh evaluation of IGM as we get some green back in the landscape. Simply, my vote on IGM is still 'out'...as my eyes are longing for some saturated colors (so lately I have thoughts of Guards Red, Ruby Star, Python Green, Racing Yellow).
Yet, when I was specifying the car late-summer, I was STOKED about IGM--and felt it was the color that Carrara White always should have been. Anyway, sharing 4 photos & notes below to help others considering this color.
I love the Carrera Sport wheels with this color.
Late-fall sunny day.
Winter wheelset.
Matte dark blue stripe. Winter day.

I think it looks fantastic. I almost ordered it but wanted a dark color instead for my car. There's a neighbor of mine with one and I see it a lot parked outside. IGM looks amazing.

Hi all,
I'm curious to get your thoughts on this potential build. I still have 3 months until my build locks. Color wise, I am considering Arctic, Gentian, Carmine, and IGM. My wife likes IGM the least, but reminds me that this is my $250k toy, so get whatever I want.
Build code: https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PR9GTY99
Here are a couple of considerations for the build.
It will be a purely weekend fun car. No track time. Mid-40s No kids. We have a Cayenne Turbo for groceries/real life errands.
Non-negotiables: I want quad exhaust, but have arranged with the dealership/partner shop to have the diffuser and some other bits painted HGB (so assume that happens). I don't want PCCBs or CL rims.
I really want EM or Heritage interior, but when I test drove an 18-way, it really bothered my back. I'm hoping that changes, but for now, I am assuming that I am constrained to 14-ways. I feel like Graphite blue is a bit of a risky interior, but I'm highly tempted to do it, and try to downplay by the "blue everywhere" with accents, floor mats, etc.
Here is the GT3RS picture that I took as inspiration.
