Depends on who the "collector" is.
For some, a quarter of a million dollars is par for the course for a daily driver or a weekend off-roader.
I mean, for example, I know guys who daily a 911R, which is more "limited" than the Dakar and arguably more likely to appreciate or hold its value going forward if bubble wrapped and stored in a temperature controlled environment in stasis.
Taking it back full circle, there are those that would be flabbergasted that anyone, I mean anyone with two IQ points, would ever consider daily'ing a 125K+ car (i.e., a 911 of any iteration). Just goes to show it's a matter of perspective.

I was shocked on Porsches website the 911 most expensive model was £150k without extras, pretty sure at the physical dealer I have seen some for around £170-£190k

Round-trip to Tuscany
Just back from a three day trip to Tuscany and back ... about 1500 km in all.
What a blast!
This car was made for the twisty and broken roads of rural Tuscany (Maremma) and its white roads.
Not bad on the italian Autostrada as well: cruising around 170-180 km/h without excessive noise.
Very happy about the car.
A few impressions.

Nato Olive wrap plus ppf. When life gives you lemons; meh, who cares? 😂. Crash 1 911, buy two, three more. No PTS, whatever, will look the same. Wash, rinse, repeat…. It’s still a Dakar…

@cebe Yes that is a Rotiform RBO in 18" I just received a set (ordered in October). Mine happen to be silver lip with black painted centers but they're available however you might like them, including all white. PM me if you want more info. Lends itself well to a chunkier tire. A Toyo Open Country AT3 in particular.

Did you go 18" both front and rear on your Dakar? Does it clear the front discs?
I suppose you are planning some substantial offroad, then.
