What is actually going on at the Port of Emden.

I am not sure this is 100% true. My car completed production March 09. Left Emden March 18th and is now half way across the Atlantic.
I was however delayed in production for approx. 8 weeks. So is the TYD not accurate and the car was actually complete but waiting? Not likely as many people post photos with the Aerkoit wing missing.

Mine was completed 2/16 and sat for a few weeks but glad to see it’s moving along.

I think you had lucky timing in terms of when your car was completed. It seems there were a bunch of us whose cars completed in the first couple of weeks of February who had an unlucky detour to a holding lot in France. It further seems that during the 5 weeks or so our cars were in France, those that completed at the factory were sent directly to Emden and in cases like yours managed to get on a ship with a relatively short wait in the port. Definitely some timing to celebrate.

My car is sitting at the port according to TYD, it is stage 5. I am in Toronto, Canada so assume it ships to Halifax. Does anyone have any idea on when it will ship out or on what boat? I don't know how to find out that information, thanks.

Thanks for the info, hopefully she makes it on board. I was expecting delivery in May but if I get it in April that would be awesome, my birthday is next month so will be a nice present to myself.

Hopefully we are....*wait for it* on the same boat!

This CNBC story is several months old, but point to a number of factors. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/11/07/from...rman-port.html
I had been told a lack of drivers when my car was in the port in October 2022 could create a delay. Reading these threads, I was extremely lucky. Car arrived in Emden on 10/20/2022 and was on a vessel by 10/25/2022.

If they are lacking drivers, I could be persuaded to take the job for a limited period of time LOL

Storage concerns of a 911 waiting 4 months for a ship.
I am concerned about how my 911 has been stored while waiting for a ship. Production complete December 5th 2024 and arrived at the port on December 6, 2024. I know that some protection ( especially the wrap on the cabriolet top) has been done. I am concerned that the 911 has been sitting outside for 4 months with a tentative shipping date of 29 March. Appreciate any comments on my concerns.
Thanks

I saw what protection/wrapping was on my car coming off the boat and it's not much. And they do sit out in the environment for weeks normally, sometimes with delays it's months. Something to think about when people say they won't even drive their new car home from the dealership without PPF, it's already been sitting out in a marine environment parking lot for a good amount of time not to mention parked 6 inches from other cars on every side for a month on a ship in the Atlantic.

All shipping is a mess right now because of the military situation in the Red Sea. This is not Porsche specific, but ships having to route around this area is causing delays in other areas of the world.

Can't offer any insight on this but mine has been sitting at Emden since 1/15/24. Communication has been poor. I might as well forget about it for now.
