I installed the SmartTop module and noticed that when the top is closing I will hear an audio glitch (independent of source) for a split second approximately when the rear windows start moving. It's Bose if that matters.

I reached out to the manufacturer... (very responsive!) and they asked me to disable or remove the unit and try it again to see if the glitch remains or is gone.

I'd have to dig into my installation to do that, so can you help?

If you don't have a SmartTop.... when you close the top, do you get an audio glitch during the cycle?
If you DO have a SmartTop and have the USB programming cable accessible... if you disable the unit (function 1 setting 0) does the audio glitch occur? When enabled, do you also hear the glitch?

Manufacturer hypothesizes that the glitch is the car switching audio from "top is open" to "top is closed" mode. May well be true... just asking for help checking!

2022 Cab… My audio cuts out for a moment when I open/close the top. I have not installed the smart top yet. I have it but not installed.

2023 Turbo S Cab with Burmester .... no sound cut out when I open/close the top, and I'll let you know if it's any different after I install my SmartTop module this weekend

Bose. I listen to satellite radio if that has any bearing on the matter.

hmmm.....seems to effect only the Bose systems ??? (too small a sample size...anybody else w/ a cab able to do this quick experiment?

Ok, had a chance to do the with and without experiment myself by disabling the smarttop .... and.... I hear the audio glitch regardless of whether the smart top is active or disabled.

My hypothesis.... based on a tiny sample size of respondents, it only occurs w/ the Bose system. Must be a "feature" as Bose changes setting or equalization based on the convertible top's position.
