RAS cars are equipped with Lithium batteries?

As a member of the silent majority, just gotta say my Li battery has been 100% fine - I'm sure there are thousand of others in this fraternity. So for those of ready to chew off your arms, I'd say relax and don't worry about it, though not discounting those that *have* had troubles. Like many things, my sense is the concern is vastly over-amplified on forums like this... the 'noisy minority' effect, kinda like "a dentist saying 'all my patients' have cavities' " - a bit self-selecting.

Almost 4 years, and I've never had a problem with my lithium battery. 2020 C2S with RAS and Lithium, delivered in Feb 2020, 18K miles (sadly) driven usually weekly, but with some 3 week breaks without a charger. I'd shrug a little, but would pay whatever price for another battery. Bought an extended warranty from the dealer for another 3 years primarily in case the PDK has a problem, don't know or expect that would cover the battery.
Not sweating it.

I think that’s the current consensus given all new cars delivered in the last few months that have RAS have also had AGM, not just cars without RAS. When I ordered my 4 GTS Cab I wasn’t ’concerned’ because I really wanted RAS, and would have been OK with Lithium, but I would have purchased the extended insurance to cover the cost if it needed to be replaced like a very small number that people have heard about. I’m sure the failure rate is quite small, but naturally you’re going to hear about those far more than the ‘silent majority’ that have had absolutely no issues. If your build hasn’t froze yet, then put it on.

As a reminder 991 vehicles with RAS were already equipped with AGM batteries. And yes given the expense of LiFePO4 batteries as well as the fact that the BMS is a mess causing the early demise of many lithium batteries made Porsche no doubt reconsider reverting to AGM batteries. Will they ever admit this?
Hopefully there will finally be a push to 48v systems...
