New product … need feedback. Should we make it?
Hello fellow Rennlist enthusiasts, and specifically, 992 enthusiasts. We created something that gives your steering wheel the color pop it needed from the factory. We did it with an OEM look and feel, but in the colors of factory interior options. Here’s the first prototype in Python Green. The first run will be Carmine red, lizard green, shark blue, speed yellow and python green. installs in seconds. exact dimensions, look and feel (though made out of aluminum instead of OEM plastic)
What are your thoughts? Should we do the production run or not?
Python green to match the exterior, but lizard green stitching.

You might check with ******** (Carp0ke$) to see if he holds IP rights to this product which he has been making and selling for about a year?

I would be down for Carmine at a price point below $60. Where are you on price? I already have your grills installed. Interestingly, my GTS interior did not come w Carmine stitching on the Carbon GT wheel.

No IP issues at all, and I dabble in IP 😉…

Totally different product. Ours follows OEM form and fitment. Remove the OEM **** (2 seconds), replace with ours. OEM look and fitment. We actually created ours because we didn’t like their design. We wanted an OEM look and fitment.

Look closely. Ours is the exact knurling of the OEM mode selector ****. This is not a cover for the current ****, this completely replaces the OEM **** with OEM internal attachment. This is OEM fitment, not a cover.
OEM style knurling. Completely replaces the OEM ****. Keeps the same diameter, same knurling and feel as the OEM ****

We only have prototypes, and looking at an anodized option as well. Will know more once we get those quotes. Also may create a brass version with real gold plating for those interested in “bling”. Maybe an Aurum gold to match the wheels!? Who knows…
Pricing will be competitive, but at a premium due to OEM level of fit and finish.

In advertising shots, I would feature a matching tach ring and chrono ring and or seat belts. Your current pics just showing the green color make it look out of place. It is a good item that needs proper background and should not be shown just by itself.
