I'm always for newer tech. That's why I'm sticking with ICE. LOL.
Oh, and Porsche's first car was electric.

What is the regen method for this .2 going to be? It can't be regen brakes because they are heavy and will introduce a strange feel which people don't want in a sports car. Are they going to spin a regen off the turbo impeller?

The little motor helps in acceleration, but I'm not sure how much I feel it. The battery is supposed to charge with regen, but there is no strange feel when engine braking/car slowing down on its own. I haven't been able to tell the difference in the slightest if the regen is active or not. The 48V battery, however, hasn't gone past 3/4 full in 2 years probably (mostly 1/2 or below) regardless of type of driving or length of trip.

I kind of feel like the elves at Stuttgart know what they are doing if they are going to implement a MHEV system in the 911.

Talked to a GM who said this is in fact the case. The 992.1 GTS manual will likely retain more value long term. Sticking with my manual allocation for the 992.1. Zero interest in a hybrid pdk.
