How do you not get tint?
I've grown to really like the look of naked glass, but driving in a sunny afternoon even in 35 degree temps I couldn't stand the blaring sun. The cancerous heat is unbearable. No thanks. Are those not tinting just bukakeeing your faces with sunscreen?

Are you trolling? The glass in a 992 blocks all UV light: https://rennlist.com/forums/992/1353...l#post18874257

You can get clear heat rejecting tint for your windshield. It's still tint so technically still illegal in some jursidictions but it's clear and pretty much indistinguishable unless compared next to an identical car side by side.

Whenever I get into someone’s car without tints, I can instantly feel the sun on my face and arms while driving. It’s such a staggering difference. I have 20% Xpel XR Plus IR blocking tint on all my cars with windshields done in 50% or 70%.

in Ohio we don't have enough sun where it matters. I'm in my car for maybe 1-2 hours per weekend, that's it. I'd typically drive with the windows down anyway, so if we have sunlight it would be coming through there anyway. Add to that I do most of my driving before noon and this also becomes less of an issue.
I also like the fishbowl look with no tint. If I was going for tint it would be the light shade possible, ceramic used only to block out UV. Wouldn't want it to look like I had tint.

I've been in the desert with my 992 and the glass sunroof. The car was fine and yes, the glass that Porsche uses blocks UV and keeps things cool.
While I have owned cars with tint, there's really no functional need for it in 2024. It's purely an aesthetic choice. Personally, I am done with the tinted window look.

I'm not a drug dealer so will never tint any car I own (and have removed tint before picking up several second hand cars like my GT3). It's perfectly fine even in sunny CA, even on 100+ degree days. I notice it much more on my older cars (1996 993 and 1995 F355 which seem to have no UV/IR filtering at all but even then it's no big deal, just crank the AC up a bit more.
Tint is almost as much of a turn off as an automatic.
