Default Top 3 aesthetic options

I was just emailed about a new post on the Paldao wood trim thread and took a look. It got me thinking.. what were toy top 3 choices I made in terms of the “look” of my 992 build…

For me they would be:

1. The Paldao Wood
2. Having the exclusive Carrera wheels interiors painted Matt black
3. The Matt black “sharks fins” - I don’t know why this is no longer an option. To me it is a cool retro touch.

That's the great thing... we all can choose what we like! My personal preferences are very different than yours...

1. Aerokit (must)
2. Carbon trim wherever possible
3. Black wheels and as much "black" trim pieces (vs. anything silver/chrome) as possible
4. Contrast stitching (any color... just different than the seats)

As long as every car is beautiful to its owner, it's the perfect set of choices

Aerokit is definitely great.
Carbon is dated.
Black on the window trim of course.
Black badging and excessive black elsewhere is awful. Except maybe black badging on white or chalk.
Black wheels are worse than awful except for the painted accents on the Exclusive wheels which make them pop.
Deviated stitching almost always looks fantastic.

The double stripe is hot and looks great carried on to the cab top.
The painted inlays a sweet in that red. Assume that’s Carmine.
As are the seat belts.

Out of all the options I added on my build, carbon mirrors is the one I’m always impressed with.

Perhaps it’s because while I was waiting for the car to arrive I thought it seemed a little rich to pay $1,600 for carbon mirrors - but the first time I saw them, and every time I get in the car, I think they look amazing.

Of course this is all personal preference, so no matter what everyone says it’s important to go with what you feel are the options for you.

It’s interesting how everyone’s tastes can differ so greatly. I hate any sort of interior wood trim, think the shark fins look out of place, and the exclusive wheels just look awful imo. Of course to each his own. Although I haven’t yet taken delivery of my 992 GTS (May 2024) I’ve seen and ridden several cars that are similarly spec’d to mine.
My favorite options:
1. Truffle brown w stitching w 930 package
2. Aerokit
3. Murdered out everything except for body color
Aftermarket
1. GT3 sideskirts
2. Moshammer rear diffuser
3. Function first shift ****

I think it is highly dependent on color. Personally I am rather fond of the carbon fiber roof and think it works really well with Chalk. That said, i could see it being less attractive with a black exterior, for example.
