Those would be Prius drivers.

I live on Long Island. Most people will be very positive when they see your car. What bothers me most are Dodge Ram truck drivers and believe it or not Prius owners! They like to tail gate and overall try to annoy me. I just look at them and say WTF. Just smile when you see them in your rearview mirror.Sorry I did not see the previous post.

I live in NJ and get zero attention in my agate grey 992. The 2015 vette vert I traded in had gotten occasional thumbs up-so far nada with my 911, and that is perfectly fine with me.

I have my 2022 chalk GTS arriving in a week or so.. I'm obviously very excited but part of me is also not sure of what to expect from other people on the road.
I live on long island NY, 911's aren't exactly common here like they are in LA or other major cities, so it will definitely stand out.
Are reactions from people on the road typically good? Do you guys ever get negative reactions on the road, or people driving more aggressively around you, etc.?
First off, congrats on your incoming GTS! 2nd, I agree with @VarTheVar , a lot of this depends on color. Took delivery of my 992 Carrera T over the summer and even in the Bay Area (where there are lots of other, more "exotic" cars on the road), it draws quite a few compliments, thumbs up, I see folks in my rear view that pull out the iphone, etc.... but that's more than likely because of the Python Green paint. I would bet that your Chalk car will mostly fly under the radar (aside from other 911 drivers). Maybe I'm a nerd (new to 911 ownership) but I give a quick hand up/wave to 911's of any generation on the road.

Either way, enjoy the heck out of the new car!!

A few things I have noticed as a new Porsche 911 owner.

1. Most people don’t look twice. Those who do are usually enthusiastic and give you a thumbs up.

2. People will look at you funny when you open your frunk and put stuff in it.

3. Most are shocked when I take my daughter out of the back seat because they think 911’s don’t have room in the back.

In general people are cool and appreciate seeing a Porsche.

You can expect that Nissan Altima drivers will want to race.

Reactions on the road? Jacked up trucks constantly tailgate and drive recklessly around you. The driver is typically on the phone.

I do. Though not everyone does. Had a GT4 that was behind me for a bit, come up next to me with a younger kid driving it. Stopped short to give him a wave. He didn’t even look over. 😊

If it’s the same spec as yours (TT vs TT for example), they won’t beat you, unless the driver weighs less than you do.

I really don’t get the point of this behavior????

Why do you think they do this? How old are these people?
To figure out if you tuned it. 😊
