>> The yellow paint is a big draw for many. Cars and coffee, etc.

Pretty much neatly sums up Porsche ownership these days: $9k for yellow paint and less dust, and people are impressed by it, meh. ‘Back in the day’ red calipers meant something too…

stock brakes are just as large as PCCBs and are 10 pistons.

are pccbs worth the $9k upgrade?
The calipers fitted to the turbo/GTS iron rotors are 6 piston front and 4 piston rear.

I have no complaints with the Turbo brakes on my GTS. They’re excellent and standard.

I’m not sure the stock Turbo brakes are 10-piston. I know the PCCB on Turbo S are 10-piston though.

The stock GTS brakes are excellent. I’m sure PCCBs are better, but are they $9k to you? They were on stop sale when I built my GTS, so I didn’t have a choice.

Much less unsprung mass on PCCB. Number one advantage

I hear a lot of people complaining of brake squeak with PCCB brakes. I have never optioned them because I don't track my car and the standard brakes are great. But I have heard many drivers at clubs complain that the PCCB brakes squeak a lot and take a lot to warm up.

Anyone know if current GTS builds have pccb option or are they currently a stop build?

I tried to add it to my config last week and it didn’t go through. I think they may be on stop sale but worth trying if your salesperson is willing.

They disappeared from the configurator for a while back in Octoberish but are back on now. Disappointed if they can’t be spec’d.

Less dust? Try zero. And coming from PCCB 991 --> BMW M2 Competition ---> PCCB 992. The dust alone is worth it. The F87 might be the dustiest car in history.

My build has them set but I am not scheduled for production until April. When is your build scheduled for production?

Well, it’s what, $9,000 now or about $30,000 just for the parts if you want to retrofit - if you think you may want them, just get them now.

I wouldn’t buy a Porsche without them, but that is purely me. For road-going, it’s not a huge difference but I prefer the feel and somehow manage to justify the lack of brake dust being worth the price.

The 992 Turbo and GTS with iron brakes run 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers (408/380mm discs). These are the same calipers the GT4s use as well and take the same pad shapes. 992 Turbo S models with PCCB use 10-piston front calipers with 420mm discs, along with 4-piston rears with 390mm rear discs. The rear calipers are again the same.

The PCCB stop sale has affected many GTS owners who wanted ceramics. Our Surface Transforms 992 GTS Iron Upgrade kits have been very popular. Brake dust aversion is very real, and many customers are willing to go to great lengths to mitigate it. Works with your factory calipers and drops like 50 lbs off your car. That said, you aren't just eliminating weight, noise, and dust, you are getting discs that last forever and a true dual-use pad that offers excellent bite, feel, and modulation over the factory iron pads. 410mm front and 400mm rear discs with RSC1 pads.

The steel fronts are Turbo six pots. Steel brakes are super. PCCB offers no rust on rotors and no dust on wheels. Lower unsprung weight not a factor unless you're splitting hairs on track performance.
