So true!!

The fun part about any new Aston Martin is that you get to be part of the development team.

The Vantage shines when showing at a cars and coffee, while the 911 shines when driving back and forth from C and C.

I owned a 2007 Vantage for several years. It was a delightful car and very comparable to a 911 of the same era. It was not a maintenace headache at all, and easy to work on.

Pros:

* Much nicer construction than a 911, it truly is hand-crafted and you see it. The 911 is a mass produced, assembly line car. They use metal screws where Porsche uses plastic tabs. The paint is far, far nicer as is the leather and interior components.
* It has one of the best sounding engines around, great gearbox, too (mine was a three pedal car
* Great style, art in motion

Cons

* You can't see out of the damn thing, especially backing up.
* You can't put many miles on it. Miles are death to resale value on an Aston
* You cannot find a private party buyer for one at all. People are afraid of them and only buy from dealers. After advertising it everywhere I finally sold mine back to the Aston Dealer who gave me $ 10,000 more than I had it advertised for privately.

Bottom Line; I would own another, I like them. Realize its not very liquid and most likely will have to go back to the Aston Dealer to sell it (Porsche dealers don't want them as trade-ins, either)

Very happy with my old but sexy manual V8 Vantage AND my 911s… Manual is a hard requirement for me so while the new one is a big improvement over the previous gen, I still prefer my 2010 version (and IMO it’s still a more timeless design).

Very nice collection! Do you have a car for every occasion?

Not yet but I am retrofitting an old barn on a property we just bought to be a dedicated car barn/man cave/lounge with capacity for up to 15 cars (not counting a separate 3 car garage for my wife's cars and maybe a more mundane daily) so I am drawing up a bit of an acquisition list...
