I think your build is perfect. I spent just about the same a year ago on my new "S" and never looked back. Sure I could of stepped up a bit more and got a GTS.....But it was not what I wanted, lack of insulation and especially with the limited wheels to chose from. Please don't eliminate anything that you think you really want just to save a few bucks, you will regret it and it is almost impossible to add back later. IE: FAL and RAS. I have the RAS and I really like it. Best of luck.

Nice build! I'd skip the gloss black window trim, front axle lift. However, I'd add passenger cupholder trim in leather. This option completes the look.
Good luck!

Thanks! Glad to hear you're loving your S. A GTS was never available for me locally. I originally wanted a targa, but my local dealer said 2+ years for an allocation. The S was relatively quick delivery - lock order at the end of Feb with early June delivery (hopefully). And at MSRP.

930 package is really overpriced for just some extra stitching but it really elevates the design of the cabin imo. I optioned it on my base Carrera and have never regretted it.

Option the sports chrono plus the other bits of leather, like the sun visors. Artic grey seems to be a popular color, like black or white, but this car is for you. Build it how you want.

Sports Chrono is included in the sport package when you order the 7 speed manual. I had to double check cause everyone is telling me to get it, but it’s already on the build.

Actually a little confusing. Seems sports chrono automatically comes with the manual transmission?

Having gotten that out of the way, have I gone overboard on my C2S build:

https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PRA5IVT5

My freeze date is 2/27, and when I started out the build I was at around $155k, now have creeped over $170k.
I don't really care about future resale, as I plan on keeping it for a while.
But seems like I'm getting close to GTS money here.
The only things I can probably lose are Rear Axle Steering and Front Axle lift, which saves almost $5k.
Want to keep the SportDesign front, as I think it looks better on lighter-colored cars.
And I've been wavering between Arctic Grey and Agate Grey.

This will be my first 911. Previously I had a 2013 Boxster, a 2016 Alfa Romeo 4C (which I daily drove for a year, despite being 6'4") and currently drive a 2018 Audi TTRS in Nardo Grey, which is similar to Arctic Grey.

Thanks!
Great build, if you are looking to trim the cost a bit, I would agree with most here that FAL and RAS are not the upgrades worth having given the cost. Most people I've talked to say RAS only really helps on track and makes daily driving sometimes feel artificial. I think if you want a track car, you would order a GTS. RAS makes tighter turning circles so if that's important, decide if its 2k worth it. The other place you could trim costs and keep the same car is 14 way instead of 18 way. My SA is pushing me away from the 18 way to 14 ways. Try to sit in both, I did and found the 14 great and the 18 felt almost as good. If you sit in both and they are the same, decide if the 1.2K is worth for the look.

In terms of color, I love Arctic Grey, I think its the right color over agate grey. I've got a GT silver on order with a similar build, going truffle brown interior, I've seen the arctic grey, love it but I'm going for that classic old man look Carrera S, with the manual. The 930 is the bomb, I skipped FAL and RAS to spend the money that I will see and enjoy sitting in the car at a red light..

I would consider adding the prep for roof rails, its 60 bucks. Last item to consider cutting if you want to trim the build cost is the front fascia. I know you said you love it, I love it too but decided not to get it. 3k for a look and you lose the active aero flaps in front. I skipped it because I decided to either go full aero package or none of it. Good luck, you can't go wrong no matter what you do.

I really like that build and the only thing I would do differently is dump the window trim "upgrade" and then think really hard about the interior 930 trim quilting (I go back and forth whether I like that or not).

FAL is up to you, if you need it, you need it, although I think it is over purchased, but I live in flat FL.

Awesome spec!

If you enjoy listening to music, consider the Burmester, it is appreciably better than the Bose.
Consider the Porsche subsecond clock instead of having a big mindless second hand sweeping across the chrono.
Instead of the light silver trim consider the Interior trim in brushed aluminum-as it has the silver trim plus the plastic trim by silver trim becomes aluminum. It is only a couple of hundred more.

Keep the FAL and RAS. If you can afford a $170k car you won’t miss the $5k. Also w/ the painted SD front lip it is closer to a $1k replacement vs the $300 replacement for the black plastic sport lip so FAL makes sense. Same goes for RAS - you’ve articulated a need to make tight 3 pt turns just to get out of your driveway. Just option it. i don’t find RAS making the car artificial to drive at all.

You added the front sport design bumper but not the rear sport design bumper. The configurator does not explain it but the rear sport design bumper follows the different Turbo S bumper design and provides increased airflow across the intercoolers for a performance enhancement. Your call…..just explaining what Porsche fails to discuss so your decision is fully informed. Enjoy.

A lot of people don't like the rear sport design bumper because it puts the license plate and cutout for it, too high on the bumper.
