That exterior color combo will be right for someone. It's a cool spec, but it's definitely the opposite of what you were going for. I wonder how they settled on Gulf Orange for the "default" PTS option.

The only one to blame for that build is the dealer. They are the ones that made that build. Most likely just seeing how high they could go and probably thinking they had time to change it to whatever you wanted and then...'gulp'....realized it was locked. Sounds like someone at the dealership royally F'ed up. SMH.
Would love to see the full build sheet if you can get your hands on it.

Wow insane..
Do you have the build by any chance, as most of us would love to see what a $240k build looks like on a GTS.
I know PTS is like $$$ but still $240k.
Best of luck with the C2S you will love it my friend!! and won't regret it at all.
Now with that extra cash left over I say jump on a Macan T and do a Euro Delivery!!

You will eventually love the C2S that you build. The 30 hp is not really a big difference.

Apologies, the story is a little confusing.....
The first of January I went to the dealer to give my build code for - at that time - a non-PTS GTS that had a lock date of March 2024 and a build date of May 2024. That day when my profile was pulled up at the dealer, we determined my build slot was at PTS. So that day in January I did provide a non-PTS build, but obviously I wanted to go PTS and I assume that original build was not put in as a "placeholder".
It was difficult for me to make my final decision on shade of green - I had no fewer than three No. 1's that all ended up changing. I gave myself until Monday of this week to decide on which shade I was going to go with. So Sunday night at 10 pm I finally decided. And I met with the dealer on Monday morning, and I took the build code (not plural, apologies).
I took that build code to the dealer yesterday to get the build locked-in. That's when I found out about the build already being locked on a build that was nothing like anything I had discussed previously with my SA.
I was told the build was locked in the system last week.

The PTS lock date is different from the build lock date.
When the PTS locks, the build locks. Even before the actual claimed build lock date. The PTS lock date beats all.
The dealer should have known this. Whenever you submit a PTS color/build you have to be damn sure it's 100%, because once the color is confirmed, Porsche can and will lock it. After PTS locks, there is virtually nothing that can be done - sometimes PCNA can pull some strings, but don't hold your breath. It's rare that a locked build can be reopened.
This really needs to be the A1 thing that dealers tell customers - do NOT submit your color without being 100% on the build.
If the dealer submitted a PTS color to Porsche as a "placeholder" that was an idiotic thing to do.

Entirely possible that they gave your allocation to someone else once they realized it was a PTS. I find it hard to believe that a random wild build not anything like yours got locked. If you missed the lock date, why wouldn't it just have locked in on your old build without the PTS color? Someone had to have entered this build. Maybe they had a buyer willing to pay a big ADM for a PTS build since they are so hard to come by. They know you are not going to buy this car so it looks like a screw up but they actually swipe your allocation from you.
Did you get any emails from Porsche? If the allocation is truly still associated with you, you would have received an email when it locked. I bet someone else did.
