Did you ask what they did to perform the inspection and give it the OK? Use some kind of device to make sure it adhered or something?

The service paperwork says "CHECKED FRONT AND REAR WINDOWS PER CAMPAIGN STEPS. FOUND NO EVIDENCE OF SOILING, BUBBBLES, OR LOOSENESS. NO FURTHER WORK REQUIRED". I think if you don't have cloudiness or bubbles on your glass, it means it didn't have the problem with stuff not being cleaned off properly. It's the surface contamination to the glass that affects the adhesion.

My dealer told me that they need the car for three hours to check the adhesion of the glass.

I just had my car at the dealer's yesterday and the service mgr. said your glass is fine and the service bulletin will continue to cover any issues you have with the glass if any.

Even after the warranty expires?

Brand new 24 GTS here. Delivery received in March. Looks like the factory build was initiated in Nov 2023. Definitely have whistling above 45 mph. I noticed it and then thought maybe tge anti-wind buffeting deflectors would help, but they didn’t make a difference. Pretty bummed because I just applied a $400 ceramic tint to my front windshield and will now have to have that redone if Porsche is going to supply a new windshield. Seems like something they should handle and reimburse if they caused the issue.

Thanks for posting. That seems to confirm that the recall is only applicable to the vehicles with LW glass.

There are two separate glass recalls repaired under warranty. One applies to the lightweight glass and the other applies to the regular glass with the molding that melts. I just had mine replaced about a month ago under warranty.

I had the lightweight glass service bulletin. No issues with my glass (they said so far they had not encountered any vehicles that had issues with the LW glass), but they said as a precaution they applied an adhesive spray around the glass mountings front and rear and then they immediately hand washed the car to get rid of any goop / overspray. So I got an inspection on my LW glass, a free hand wash on my car, and my loaner for the day was a Taycan (first experience driving an EV other than a test drive of an ID.4 a few years back).

I have a 22 GTS and received a text that there was a recall/open campaign on my car.

I will call this AM to check what it pertains too. I do not have LW Glass

My 2024 T (Sept 23 production) has a cracked windshield now, it happened sitting in the garage and looks to be on the inside layer of glass on both sides of the top corners. The day after it cracked I heard about the recall and plugged my VIN in and my car is on the list. I called the service department and they have a new windshield on order but who knows how long that's going to take. I was told they have 2 GT3 RS siting at the service dept for weeks now waiting on a windshield.

Just learned it is a recall to recode the Amplifier on the Bose system. Said it would take an hour
