New York 911 Insurance
#17
Never had a problem with Geico insuring any car, exotics included. My Ferrari SA also mentioned that Geico is one of the easiest for them to work with.
I live in NY, btw.
It is expensive thought

The other thing to consider here is your age. When you are young, you can afford to switch carriers back and forth to get the best deal. But as you get older, even starting at 60, unless you have an existing relationship with a carrier, the first claim you make with a new carrier might get you dropped.

Automakers Are Sharing Consumers’ Driving Behavior With Insurance Companies.
You can request your report and see what they have collected. 160 mph in Fontana hope they know that was at the track and not on the 10.
CA residents can submit a Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information request

Before you ever buy insurance check out NYS Insurance Depts list of consumer complaints; I'd bet Erie, Liberty, SnakeFarm, AllSnake are at the top of the heap for dissatisfied customers. Try AAA,

I had mine covered with Fireman's Fund which became Chubb in Manhattan. No issues. Have since changed to Hagerty as it was a better deal with 5-6 cars.

I see no one replied about Grundy, which is surprising. I have to get quotes and will report back next week.

I am in NY, and was able to add a 911 Targa GTS to my Geico policy with no problems. That list probably exists so they can deny cars on accounts with a poor loss profile. Every single relatively high performance car you can think of is on that list.

I always thought that the cars with the poorest loss profile were pre-owned "muscle" cars - Mustangs, Mopar, Camaro, etc. The thinking being that at 3+ years of age, the cars become price attainable to young men and that demographic is the most likely to wreck them. I imagine most 911s owners are generally responsible people (older) and have a lower risk/claim history.

I use Amica currently also - expensive, but good service when you have a problem. But I haven't got a price from them yet. Many people (like me) only use these cars as casual drivers, and no winters, and alot of "regular" insurance companies don't have policies for that kind of driving habit, with low miles driven per year.
