Default CF bits vs exhaust - help me spend $

First world problems, but I’m hoping for some perspectives on how to scratch my mod itch. Don’t have unlimited funds, but looking for best bang for the buck to spend $5K-$7K.

I’m a proud owner of a 2024 C2 GTS manual coupe in IGM - have factory CF roof, interior CF trim/steering wheel/door sills with aerokit and FAL. Have already purchased from DB Carbon: CF exterior air foil triangles and CF interior stickon pieces around the shiftknob. Cargraphic valve controller on its way. Car is not tracked and is a weekend/good weather driver.

Here are pieces I’m considering:
1. Exhaust - debating between IPE (SS $2250 or titanium $3300) or Akrapovic titanium slip on ($5700), I probably don’t have a “sophisticated ear” which is why the price point of the SS IPE is intriguing
2. GT3 side skirts - OEM is $525 (would keep unpainted matte black to match current front lip), or CF ones from DB Carbon are $2500 (anyone that has these - do you feel they’re “worth it?”)
3. CF side mirrors are $1700 (would need both top and bottom pieces to match the unpainted black that’s already on the side mirror - buying just the top for $1K would look odd I think)

I don’t mind spending money if I feel like there’s good value/appreciate it every day (yes, I go into the garage just to look at the car a couple times a week).

Appreciate in advance your experiences and perspectives. What combo of parts would you go for? Thanks!

I would install the Cargraphic first and then decide if you still need to do anything else for the exhaust. You may (I did), but you also may not. Probably more than one person will chime in to say the same.

Congratulations and welcome to the IGM GTS crowd!

Purely my opinion, but I am going aftermarket wheels, then exhaust, then smaller aesthetic items. I'd also try the Cargraphic controller for a few weeks first before splurging on an aftermarket exhaust since you have it already coming.

Take a look at the last post in the GT3 skirt thread. I just put mine on today and they look great and will hopefully help a bit with rock chips. I was thinking about going gloss black, but decided they look good as is.

I have the SS iPE/Cargraphic and love it. I would also get the DB carbon rear-view caps that would tiee togtther nicely with your roof.

I would buy in the same order you have listed. I have Cargraphic + titanium and love it.

Cargraphic first because you’re going to want valve control even if you get an aftermarket exhaust.

Exhaust would be my first priority. The rest is just jewelry

Generally agree as I have that same system and quite pleased with it. Plus, it allows you to upgrade exhaust in two stages (quantity and then quality ). But, there are exceptions. If you have already made the decision to go with a valveless catback system (JCR, Soul, etc.), then would not get Cargraphic. I would probably go this way if I did it again. Also, you might consider opting for the M tuner IF you know you are going to tune eventually since the retail price of M tuner is a full credit towards the subsequent tune.

I would tune it (unless you're worried about warranty) and get a full exhaust from Soul Performance. That should still keep you under $7k

A cheaper (but perhaps more binary) option now for more noise - www.992noise.com. Try first, go exhaust or valve controller later?

If I were you... with a $5k - $7K budget..

Sport Cats + BMC Filter + M Engineering tune.. (The tune will open the valve 100% and will give you that true sport sound)+ Auto/Stop delete..
I'm assuming you have PSE ? I did this mods and I'm super happy wit the results. I won't be changing the PSE now... I'm glad I went this route.

That will run you about $5Kish. leaving you $2K for $2K for CF bits.

Appreciate the input so far. I do want to preserve the valved flexibility and don’t want to risk potential warning lights or other sensor issues, which is why I limited to exhaust consideration (and not looking for cats and/or tuning). I do have PSE.

Consistent feedback seems to prioritize the exhaust over CF bits. I’m now leaning towards the CF side mirrors but factory GT3 side skirts (hard to justify incremental $2K for something that sits so low and also has higher risk of damage - the factory matte black would also match the front chin lip). This gives me budget to at least do IPE exhaust (if Cargraphic is insufficient).

I’m doing CFRP mirror caps to match my roof, GT3 side skirts to match front and rear lips/diffuser, and M Tuner to adjust PSE settings. That’s about $5k.
