992S vs. 991.2 TT
Anyone ever contemplated getting a 991.2 TT over a 992S? They are similar price points in the used market, I'm talking strictly CPO vehicles. I've given up on an allocation and don't have the patience to wait until the fall for delivery if I was to get one. Most of the 992S's I have found in the used market that I like anyway are overpriced and yes I realize with the price increases to build a new one perhaps they are not.
I know tech is better but other than maybe the surround view that's in my 18' Panamera I find most of it annoying actually, I have to go into a dang menu to adjust my air vents

The tech is terrible in the new Porsches IMO.
991.2 TTS all day. 992 is mass produced junk.

I contemplated this, and further expanded my search after unsuccessfully trying to buy new. I ended up setting a budget and simply decided I would be patient and pull the trigger on something that really peaked my interest.
Tech (at least for me and my use case) factors little into buying a 911. I just expect and anticipate this will evolve with new cars. That aside, I suggest finding a car that excites you. Come up with your list of must haves, e.g., colors, options, performance and see what’s out there.
Regarding the 991.2 TT or TTS - (IMHO) there is lot to love there and obvious a ton of performance. Rather than make it a vs. (back to above) just find the car that fits your needs and gives you the awesome feeling every time you walk up to and drive it.
Good luck!

Do you want manual or PDK? The answer to that pretty much sums up your answer IMO.

For pure performance, 991.2tt is probably the winner, no contest. I did like the gauges better in the 991.2 also. The screens in the 992 are a little blah, but such is life... the new Marc and BMW stuff is much, much worse (the whole dash is one big screen - ugh).
Good luck. Fortunately choosing from two choices, neither of which is really bad, just which one you like better!

Unfortunately where I live its difficult to test drive anything, would have to make a weekend out of it and go to Atlanta. The Turbo model has always had the allure of being the top of the mountain so to speak but I hear you the 992S with the updated interior I'm sure is nicer. I would probably never use that extra 100hp the Turbo has anyway but they sure do look cool.
