Just get the black calipers because it’s what you want. If you wanted to paint the calipers after the fact it would be a PITA likely cost more than $1000 and you’d have to pay to remove the calipers, sand them down, primer and paint them, source new Porsche brake logos, then reinstall. I guarantee you’re gonna sit there and think I wish I just paid the $1K to have it come black from the factory.

In many ways I wish more people would just purchase what they [already] want(ed) instead of asking for opinions from people who have different tastes, needs, etc. It would reduce these “critique my build” -type threads significantly.

On the S Black, for the GTS depends on theme. I find that 350mm rotors on 20" wheel look tiny and red just makes it more obvious.

I have a GT4 in Chalk. Different car and colour, but I have black calipers with yellow interior and IMHO, black goes well with the yellow interior, red will clash too much.
If you had red accents inside, I'd recommend Red then, but you probably wouldn't ask the question then.
Also, with the GTS, most wheel choices are black, so calliper will get lost in there, but at least won't clash with the yellow inside.

Meanwhile 90% of car people pay to have their black calipers painted red.

W/O having seen the car yet, I’m pretty sure it is. Have always liked red calipers. Will find out in mid June. Production just started yesterday… 😁[/size]

My vote was for red. But I'm biased.

Agree with this. Also agree with the poster who said just get what you want since it’s your car.

IMHO, the red calipers with steel brakes is classic Porsche, just as yellow is with PCCB. It doesn’t look overdone or out of place.

Don’t think red is overdone in anyway, both look good and it’s matter of preference. $900 is nothing relatively speaking, get what you want and don’t worry about the cost.
