$900 Black Calipers on S or GTS
Hello,
I feel like I'm wasting money by spending $900 to spec black calipers on GTS. The exterior color is Gentian Blue with some yellow interior accents (seat belts) - not that the interior matters.
I think blue with red calipers is quite overdone but I also think spending $900 just for paint color sounds too much, from a value perspective. Obviously on $170K, $900 doesn't matter.
If down the lane, I want to change wheels to bronze I think red calipers might throw it off.
1. The size of the black or red calipers is the same right - contrary to the pictures below?
2. Would you consider Red or spend the extra for Black on your S / GTS?

Black looks better on blue IMHO... but not 900 bucks better... wouldn't pay it.
It's like the 400 red tach dial or the 400 red sport crono dial or the 400 red seat belts
You like colors ?, its a couple of grand.

I would care less about the money as it’s a drop in the bucket at this point with these cars. I would make my decision only on if I thought red clashed with the color scheme of my build. If so then I would go black.

Went back and forth on this as you are doing as well. Originally spec’d black calipers on an IGM GTS and after going back and forth in the configurator multiple times over a few weeks, I finally settled on Red. Spec’d black because I also spec’d the exterior pkg in HGblk. Overall it just seemed like too much black and the red is a good contrast. Other’s may disagree, but everyone is going to have their own opinion. Go w/ your gut, it’s your car…

Red! The calipers are a little less in your face in person than the configurator suggests. Black would get lost for sure and I wouldn’t pay $900 to make those large calipers less visible.

The S and GTS have different brakes. That’s why your notice a size difference.
