Default Dakar Press cars

Seems like there are an awful lot of the limited edition Dakars being used are press cars (and Porsche experience cars). Any idea how many of the 2,500 Dakars got allocated to press/Porsche cars?

Hello,

from what I have seen at time of the Dakar presentation most if not all the press-cars were pre-series with the 0000 number on the dash plaque.

The PEC cars, at least in the US, are numbered cars. 0332 and 0391 are two examples, both at PECATL.

Thanks. I drove the Green one. I should have looked at the number.
