Burning Brakes
Speaking from first hand experience, I blacked out for less than ten? seconds on a local street last year and sideswiped a few cars. Woke up two seconds before impact, with just enough time to say "Oh S@*#T!". This in my pickup truck and not a Porsche. Nobody hurt, thankfully and no airbag deployment. This, a result of a medical issue never experienced before. One year out and no further problems. It took awhile to regain license after extensive medical workups. Possible dehydration, sudden drop in blood pressure, irregular heart beat, etc. Added a med and all seems to be well.......and no, you won't see me out on the track anymore! This, I guess, is part of getting old!

Richard, if there is indeed an after life and you're reading this, just wanted to say thanks for giving this driver the confidence to buy well used 993's.
When they say it's not just the cars, it's the people, they were referring to the likes of yourself.
Your great advice and contributions make this good forum a great one.

Sad deal... I will miss his musings, and photos.
Apparently he was an ER doc, and cat lover.
