My wheels arrived today. Excitedly I opened up the boxes, took one of the fronts in to show my wife and she says, “ "the outer lip in bent!”" Sure enough, one of the wheels (front) has a flat spot in it. I just emailed Christine. Sounds like she has dealt with this in the past.

UPDATE: Christine at Tramont expedited a new outer lip, hardware, and silicone this morning. Simple fix and the way to go. Benefits of modular wheels.

How long did it take you to repair the wheel?

Did they also send new fasteners?

What is the torque value for the fasteners?

Is one of your rims bent?

They sent new fasteners, silicone, valve stem.

You will need a 8mm 12pt socket for the bolts.

Here are the instructions they gave:

- remove the nuts and bolts (apply screwing force on the nut and not on the bolt head)

- cut the silicone seal to separate the outer and inner rims.

- remove all the silicone on the inner rim.

- reassemble the 2 rims (with the new outer one) and the center part.

- tighten the screws - Torque force : 2,7 kg- Attention : apply the screwing force on the nut and not on the bolt head in order not to damage the chrome.

- degrease the circumference of the wheel (rim)

- lay a silicone sealant bead uniformly

- wait for 24-48 hours before mounting the tyre for the sealant to dry

Hi Jay,
Just replied your PM. The group buy ended in early June. Not sure what is the price now, but you can email Christine at cjacquet.tramont@orange.fr and see. Just mention Group Buy with Andy and see what she says...hope this helps! Feel free to let me know if there are any questions.

Andy

Both my fronts have small flat spots as well…been on the car since 2013, GOD knows how many miles and sets of tires they have seen. Those flat spots were created by a very proud bridge expansion strip at a “tad” above highway speeds many years ago.

Thankfully no vibration, and only a somewhat trained eye can see it.

IMHO…there is NO better looking wheel on our beloved 993’s.

I was happy to be the guinea pig way back in 2013 for these…me and Dick in TN were the first two. Shipping back then was nightmarish to say the least. Always happy to check into this thread, and see more Rennlister’s getting these beautiful wheels.

Worth every damn penny, dollar…Errr Euro

I contacted Christine about the group buy and she replied that the GB is over so she is now quoting 677 EUR for the front and 734 EUR for the back on a NB spec.
Hopefully we'll have another group buy to get the 15% discount as previous one.
