I still want to see a WB with them on, front to back to know which size I should be in on.

Maybe in the list, we can add City/State or general regional area
My friend just received a set last week, the recommended was:

8.5/18 et 42
11/18 et 40

He opted for the the polished lips which is very nice.

Now keep in mind how low your car is will dramatically affect the look. KW coilovers are enroute to lower this 993 down to RS height next.

@caffeineninja serious question - do you know if Christine is willing to ship the wheels in parts? I mean lips/barrels centers and bolts and nuts? That would significantly reduce shipping prices and allow me to do something to them before I rebuild them.

Best,
Paul

DO NOT palletize those wheels…that makes in large freight shipping. No way that is cost competitive with strapping two wheels together…and shipping a set of four in two packages. Unless “large freight” has changed since I got mine in 2013…stay away from that! Do NOT ask me how I know!

8 1/2” x18” et 45 fronts, with 235’s, 11”x18” et38 rears with 295’s. RR is tighter that LR, plenty of room up front to be more aggressive. Center color was what Tramont called “nearing GT2” back in 2013. Drop dead gorgeous wheels, 8 seasons with them…and more sets of tires than I care to remember. Still stunning, and worth every damn dollar!

For comparison, another NB. Though running a less aggressive setup than @P-daddy despite the same tyre sizes....

F: 8*18 ET52 wrapped in 225/40/18 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres
R: 10*18 ET65 wrapped in 265/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres

Still discussing with Tramont. Material costs have increased so we likely can't expect a discount deeper than 10%, and I'm suggesting a deposit scheme to alleviate their fears around what happened with the last group buy (4 confirmed orders out of 12 interested parties).

Best,

I'm not sure, it's worthwhile to send Tramont an email. Something to consider, their factory/warehouse logistics aren't likely set up to ship a complete, disassembled wheel (and there's something to consider for quality assurance on a deconstructed wheel).

Totally understand the rise in material prices, it appears they have already raised the prices of their wheels before any discount. The last group buy was a much lower base price and a 20% discount.

I think someone has asked before and Tramont said no, but worth another shot. Good Luck!

Okay, so… they have proposed a 1,000 euro deposit per person in one bank wire. After that, each party in the group buy will get a pro forma invoice with the 1,000 euros deducted and each party will send the remaining funds to Tramont, and each wheel will be shipped individually.

Discount is still 10%.

I am not comfortable holding this amount of money in “escrow” so, any suggestions? Online escrow services?

I am going to drop out. Best of luck with the group buy.

I’m in the middle of a 3.8L engine build and transmission re-gear. Decided to go for Speedlines.
