Wait, tramonts are 800 euros each? That's surprising. BBS E88s are running 1500 now if you can even get them. All the dealers I've talked to are at 6k a set and a year wait.

I may need to switch to tramonts...

Is that the individual or group buy pricing? I remember before the shipping is about the cost of another wheel. So pretty much you buy four and pay five including shipping. Not sure if Christine still doing group buy? It was 20% off with 8 sets last time.

Quote she gave me was individual pricing back in July of this year.

Please let me know if it’s not too late to join the group buy list. I know I’m jumping into the thread a bit late. But I’ve recently acquired a 98 2S so would be looking for a wide body offset in silver. Thanks!

If not, what do you use to clean and maintain them without damaging the non-anodized aluminum?

I'm ready to pull the trigger on a set of Tramonts, but I need to decide if I'm going with the traditional anodized finish or something like yours.

If you elect to organize this group buy I would suggest that you contact Andy (akrca4). He set up the last one and did a great job. But, he found it to be a lot of work. I am sure he could give some guidance that would help.

I tried to organize a group buy with Christine early this year and they were only willing to do a 10% discount for a 1000 euro deposit per person in one bank wire, which means that someone would need to collect a significant amount of money. They had a number of people back out of the previous group buy and they were not too happy about that.

Not really worth the effort for a $400 discount.

I did helped out with the last group buy (in addition to my original group buy) and I think some people backed out last minute so there weren't enough 8 sets at the end. However, I think Tramont still honored the discount but I kind of sensed they weren't too happy about it. It's a small company so I can understand.

Well I'm still in if we can get 8 people, but it doesn't sound very hopeful. Any idea how much more it costs to order from FD Motorsports than going direct to Tramont for a single set?

my shipping cost was $850…and DHL sucks. Held here in the US in customs for three day’s, they never contacted me..but sent an email to Tramont, which Christine forwarded to me. You would think that when you went to the DHL website, entered the tracking numbers and/or waybill number…they would prompt you to fill out the necessary paperwork. Hell no.

Repeat with the duty fee…held again, no record of the waybill in DHL’s “billing office”

Finally was able to pay the duty…a whopping $118.

I might finally see them tomorrow.

18x8.5 front, 18x10 rear, custom center color, for my 03 Boxster S…all in, bank buying the Euro’s to wire, wire transfer fee, shipping, and duty…$4150

Tramont did offer a “slight” commercial offer…aka price reduction, cause they remembered me as the Guinea pig who started all this. Saved a few hundred on the wheels off of list, and didn’t pay sales tax if bought from a US retailer.

Reliving the last Tramont Cup shipping fiasco…priceless.

piece of cake to maintain, but i had my detailer put ceramic on them. once the ceramic was on (which i did immediately upon getting them back from my wheel guy)...it's just the car wash soap (meguiars gold).
