Default Does anyone know this car?

Does anyone here know this car or have looked at it: https://www.pca.org/classified-ad/329546 ??

It spent some time on the west coast (Washington and California). Originally purchased in Kansas.

Thanks!

Weird to reupholster the seats with under 39k miles. Just 4 pics, low quality, is odd too, but that might be PCA's fault. Not much info in that ad.

Yeah - I thought was weird as well about the seats but the owner seems very meticulous... always wears driving gloves as not to scratch the wheel.

Here's the VIN: WP0AA2996TS321192
and the option codes:

I saw that car too and thought it was weird about the seats but you know that blue shows cracks I believe pretty early. Beautiful car though. Way out of my budget.

Nice looking car. Lots of owners and not a lot of information as far as mods and upgrades. Maintenance records and history? Strong money for a 1996 C2.

I agree with that!!! Many better examples for reasonable prices.

Very, very optimistic price even if it's had top end work.

Well, my AR C2 is probably worth that price, but it's never been driven in the rain or if the sun was shining too hard.....

The car is 100% stock except for the Porsche classic radio, full paint protection film and radar detector.

It’s had no engine work and the suspension is all original. The car is in very good condition and very, very clean. AFAIK the car comes with full records. I know it’s overpriced but what would be a fair price for this car??

I saw a car with 55k miles on it the other day and the leather on the drivers seat was shot. I would have thought it would have lasted that long but there ya go.! I guess it's how it's been cared for.

With no engine work, this car will need some love and you can count on at least 3-4k unless you do it yourself. Unless the service records show these things were done, I would think it has leaks to address like valve cover and timing chain gaskets. Probably needs plugs maybe wires, distributor cap/rotor, SAI check valve replacement and ports cleaning, brakes, clutch bleeding, belts and I bet the suspension is tired and I would recommend freshening it up. There could be more. Considering all of this, I would think this car is in the 60K range give or take depending on a motivated buyer. Just my 2 cents. Otherwise, this would be a great car. Good luck and enjoy the hunt. Cheers

With a good history and a dry engine you will need to spend money on the consumables and suspension refresh. Certainly struts at least. With all fluids, belts, ignition refresh, struts, possibly tires - you’ll certainly tear up $5k. If the car was priced at $60k ‘ish you’d be ok as it’s low mileage and unmolested. 75k territory is the same car with all this done and correctly modded and it’s still a stretch.

I see cars with half the mileage of my car and the interiors look horrible. One of two things. They didn't care for the car or they pulled the speedo cable off.
Personally I would always by the higher mileage car that is taken care of. Unless your looking for a low mileage garage queen collectible.
