Default Got a Car (and thanks y'all)

Wanted to say thanks to those of you who helped me search out my 993. A number of you were generous with your time and advice - much appreciated.

Bought the car two days ago and drove it from Pittsburgh back to home in Nashville (~600 miles). Red/Tan C4S w/ 28K on the clock. I was looking for a high end driver and I think this car is going to fit the bill. It’s not a bubble wrap car but the paint is pretty and the interior is in nice shape. Was admittedly nervous starting out on a long highway drive in a car that had only 800 miles put on it in 2.5 years but it ran like a champ. Safely back in Nashville with an uneventful (in a good way) trip.

Couple of fun moments from the trip:
  • Prior owner is a super cool guy and runs his family’s business in Pittsburgh (specialty grocery shop that’s been in his family for 117 years). As I was leaving one of his employees handed me a travel cooler with a handmade sandwich and a couple of bottles of water for the road. So nice!
  • I gassed it up in my neighborhood on the way in to town (love to put it away full). While doing so an exotic used car dealer guy approached me, gave me his card and offered to buy it! Obviously not interested in selling but that was sure a nice confirmatory experience.
Today - paint correction and ceramic coating
Monday - off to my indy for a bunch of refreshing to start things off right and know my maintenance baseline. I’m going to miss it while it’s in the shop which I’m guessing will be most or all of the week

Congrats on the purchase! The hunt is always fun and a ride home like that is the perfect way to bond. The wait to get it back will go quick and will only be a little painful

PCA Classifieds. I think I was lucky he didn't list it more broadly. PCA Classifieds are a pain to search!
He's a super cool guy.

Do you know anything about the car I should know? Note: It's mine now so I accept it and all it's goods and bads. Figured just pull the trigger and work out any issues to make it totally awesome and mine. So if you know of something, I'd love the info for no other reason than to add it to the list of things for my indy to knock out.

Sorry don’t know the history and he never participated in any of our Club events as far as I know. I am fairly active in our club and local events. I believe he had it serviced at Sewickley and the miles are probably mostly going to and from there.

Nice buy! I also bought my car in PA; drove mine back to Toronto (I had the added hassle of importing the car at the border). I still remember that first long drive!

Congrats on the new car. I don't think we've met yet but we have several Nashville Porsche friends in common. Look forward to checking it out soon!
