Default Parting with Brad

The time has come to part with Brad, my 1995 black on black Porsche 993 Carrera 4. I have owned the car since September 2004. it was originally purchased from Dan McGill Porsche in Houston and has always been in the Houston/New Orleans area - hence no rust. Car has 47,990 miles on the clock. New Pirelli P-Zero tires were fitted to the Speedline 3 piece wheels 1750 miles ago. Car has OE Aero Kit II spoilers and rockers. Comprehensive vehicle log of work performed and service schedule kept from November 1999.
Porsche RS camshafts were fitted in February 2003, at the same time Andial sports clutch, lightened Euro RS flywheel and Billy Boat stainless steel exhaust headers were fitted. In October 2004 a Steve Wiener custom designed engine management chip was fitted which prevented stalling with the lightened flywheel. Steering wheel has been changed to a 3 spoke 996, the OE steering wheel and airbag is in with price, as is the 8 volume Workshop Manual also Porsche 993 - The Essential Companion. Plenty more photos available. Asking price $62,995.

Seems to be a really nice car, so it must be difficult to end things with Brad.

I'm sure you'll look fondly back on your time with Brad and will relish telling some strangers at some bar in New Orleans about all the great times you had with Brad. How you loved riding Brad and, since these cars don't get great gas mileage, how great you felt every time you filled Brad up; and when Brad was dirty, you loved to give Brad a nice waxing. If your next car is an automatic, you might tell them that you also really miss Brad's stick. I only wish I was at that bar to hear these stories.

Good luck, and I hope your next car has an equally interesting name

No. just no. This is the last thing I’d want a stranger in a bar telling me about his 20-something year old black German friend. 😲

Wow - I'm embarrassed for how dirty my un-named car's engine is.

OP - Nice car, you should have no problem selling it.

Just my opinion, but as a grown up...I think naming a car is pretty silly. BUT...it is a nice example, and good luck with the sale.

Sebastian Vettel doesn't seem to have gotten your memo

He's gotten a lot less 'creative' since moving to Ferrari...
