Default Installed Car Graphic NGT GT3 style exhaust

For anyone thinking of other alternatives to exhausts other than the usual suspects.

Had initially thought of making up the usual GT3 muffler set up for my 993 but ultimately decided on a professionally built setup. A long time coming but finally received my new Car Graphic NGT exhaust and installed it.

Really love the snap, crackle and pop sound even at part throttle and no irritating highway resonance. Tried to upload a video but could not seem to get it attached.

If anyone knows how please let me know. Otherwise it's on my Instagram account if you would like to have a sample of the sound.

Cheers.

I don't get it. It's the same basic configuration as stock, except that it adds like 5 lbs of extra tubing to get the exhaust to exit in the wrong place, forcing you to remove part of the bumper cover. It's cool in that it's different though. And looks cool now (until the shiny SS turns brown).

Look in the Project Iris Blue stories for the sound at - https://www.instagram.com/drivenbytaste/

Worth a follow for some good Porsche content.

It's purely for looks and sound Eric. This car was never made to be an all out performance vehicle by me but rather an interpretation of all the things I like in a shape I like. If I want performance I get into the GT3 maybe (or perhaps I shouldn't have sold the 997.1 RS as that was a really really good track car). Even the M3 GTS is way faster and better handling than this 993. But this car is purely made as a self expression of a car I would like to take on a Sunday morning drive. As for the stainless steel turning brown, you will note that the wheels I have are bronze and the few stickers on the car are also bronze. I am guessing when the stainless steel turns poo brown it will match those other ahem accents. Nothing more, nothing less

Just to emphasise again this exhaust makes no claims about performance enhancement (truth be told I don't see many so called performance exhausts ever really having provided real gains). Its all about the aesthetic and the sound as far as I am concerned (and the cut bumper is very subjective I have to agree). Not necessarily the smartest way to spend money but depending on your priorities it may just add a smile to your face every time you change gear.... Up or down... Or heel and toe. And that's what it's all about to me. Plus the twin outlet down the centre is something I have always loved. As for weight...
I didn't actually weigh the full set up to original.

Vacuum operated valve at each muffler -- NICE! I had no idea Cargraphic released such a thing. Would love to see more pics of the muffler to see what the valve is doing, and it doesn't look like Ruf's. What controls when the valve opens?
